if you compare it with squad no gore and no destructable buildings.
" a truck can be stopped by a little tiny sapling in squad "
It is a problem that none of the static objects can be destroyed.
Not even a small tiny sapling, that could stop the path of a tiger tank.
This is the same problem we saw back in 2002 when Battlefield 1942 was released.
That is 16 years ago.
Thougt the game engine of today 2018 would support at least some kind of " destruction".
Its up to dev if they want to put into that amount of work hours it would maby take to get it to work.
It is more easy to say no. Yes would mean lots of work and delay the game.
And again I know this is not battlefield 1. Not asking for that crazy destruction.
Arma 3 has some kind of destruction.
UE4.
Static Object, yes.
You talking about the terrain it self. For example artillery shellhole... then no.
But as mentioned, dont think the devs has this as priorety.

As this game started out as a mod, and then increased it's scope. I guess that wasn't an option.
If they can make 'some' objects desctuct like small walls hedges etc i'm sure they will. But i don't think we'll ever see buildings coming apart.
This is not DICE game studio making this game.
This is not the Frostbite engine.
This is UT4 engine.
