it runs okay on low settings (40-60fps) but i would wait until they deliver a performance patch (soon)
I have a 1060 6gb with a I7 7700 and 16 gb Ram. Squad runs very good, but i had really performence problems with Post Scriptum, but i guess the Game will run alot better in the future. It just need some Optimization. I had like 30-60 fps on High settings.
From the people I've talked to, 35-70 fps is a pretty normal range on most hardware in Post Scriptum because the game is lacking optimization.
For comparison in squad I avarage about 70 FPS but I have dips to maybe 45fps all on high settings 1080p.
16gb 2444mhz ram
Ryzen 5 1600 3.8ghz
Anywhere from 25 to 100 fps on MEDIUM. Optimisation is desperately needed.
In comparison I run all maps on Squad at 70+fps on EPIC settings.
Most settings med to high, varies between 40 and 90 fps... very variable and can't discern whats the issue, apart from optimisation of course, but I mean what particular thingummy.. driving through bushes at speed is fine (which often causes other games issues)
Have Squad but never run it on this, I had a crappy old HD6950 at that time but that was ok on Med...
Well I just tested a little bit on the "single player" mode. I tested the game on 1080p and 1440p on different settings on the Oosterbeek map, used mortars to get some effects going. AA and SS turned off, shadows 1 setting lower:
1080p on epic 60
1440p on medium 55/60, high 50/55, epic 45/50
Went on a drive with epic settings, dropped around 38/45. Then I reached a field with some very nice flowers - 25 fps. There are some parts on the map where the frames just tank, let's hope they can find a solution for this and we all can enjoy a nice performance boost.
