Higher hz is better.
Response time is also very important. Get as low a response time as possible. 1ms or 2ms if possible. Slow response is slow.
Im also looking to upgrade. This game made it obvious that I need to.
I get 60 frames in squad in 4k but its time to upgrade to more than 60hz
3440x1440 is the next step down but the highest refresh rate is the Alienware listed above, its an IPS G sync panel with 4ms response time and some say is the best ultrawide out right now.
Later in the year there is a 200hz ultrawide in 3440x1440 HDR Quantom Dot G sync, but its a VA panel which is not as good as the IPS, although maybe the HDR and Quantom Dot makes up for it. Plus that monitor will probably be $2k while the Alienware is around $1k.
As for the 165hz Asus which is like 3 years old but argued to still be the best 1440p monitor, can someone even get 144-165 fps in new games with a single 1080 ti? What do you think? Better resolution but only 120hz since realistically were not going to get more than that unless we're playing older games.
Someone on here has got to have the AW or the PG279Q who could chime in to compare performance.
