Very excited for both. I think it depends on preference though.

HLL seemed to have a much larger budget due to their crowdfunding, so the engine has a little more polish on it and the game seems like it will have more content. I just hope they did not bite off more than they can chew.

PS started as a mod so they don't have the resources to go all crazy. But that means that they were able to focus on what they have and make the most of it. It is more of a slow paced tactical approach to combat. I am holding out for PS myself.

Overall, I think the best way to describe them is that Post Scriptum is a WWII Infantry Simulation (much like Squad obviously) that really puts players in the boots of a soldier. Hell Let Loose is a large scale combines arms warfare shooter, covering all aspects of combat but not extensively focusing on one.

Anyway, just my own observations, sorry if I am wrong lol.

I intend to get both but I'd like a little more realism so given the state of Squad I have more hope for HLL atm.

I intend to buy both, and am already in on the HLL early paypal entry.

Both games are shaping up quite nicely.

Concerns with both games though.

PS, little worried about the larger map sizes. Much larger than we're seeing with squads maps but with similar player numbers. The game modes may take that into account and compensate but, will have to wait and see when the games released.

HLL, pistol medic....
With struggles in squad to get people to play the medic role with rifle kit and a frag. Giving them just a pistol in HLL is a big step back and will need to be changed before the game goes to a wider audience.
If you can't get people to play medic it compramises the gaming experience for the rest of the players.

Well, from what i've seen so far, both games are really good but i prefer Post Scriptum over Hell Let Loose.
I love the extremely slow pace of PS and how tactical it can be... i also love the clean graphics, the historical accuracy and the amount of weapons/vehicles/maps which will be in the game at release.

I probably will buy both but the first one will be PS for sure, even if i've so little experience with FPS which require A LOT of tactics like PS and Squad.

My money is on Hell let loose. The fact its gonna have multiple nations and campaigns including japanese and soviets makes me happy

Hmm.
Jumping the gun i think.
The first 'other nation' was Russia which would be added when they got to $400,000 stretch goal.
They've not done that yet.
So to say HLL are adding other forces where as PS arn't isn't accurate.

At the moment. Both games will be released with 2 playable nations. And it's only the success or failure of that venture which will decide on further expansions.

HLL has re-opened the pre order again for anyone. But if they do make the stretch goal, then it's still not going to be released for a long time after the game comes out.
(alpha playable Q1, so by end of this month)
So it shouldn't at the moment be seen in a different light to PS.

See stretch goals.

At the moment, only us & german in normandy will be playable. For me PS is a better project.

How is this even a question? Why Both of course.
Lone Mar 1, 2018 @ 7:38pm
im planning on playing both, even if i already backed up HLL on kickstarter

however, post scriptum already has the lead, and post scriptum does not have rally points, which is something ive always hated in SQUAD

so my money is on post scriptum at the moment, i feel like it will win my time more so than HLL

If this game is based on the Historical Operation Market Garden, then would not be buying this game. You all realize that Operation Market Garden was a Complete Failure, many Germans Vets from the War regarded Operation Market Garden as a reverse of Dunkirk. Only Americans in the operation were the 101st and 82nd Paratroopers. There were NO AMEIRCAN TANKS. It was a all British Operation. 30th Corps was British.

like what american tanks are in the game?, are you referring to the sherman?
Andy Mar 2, 2018 @ 8:39am
Guards armoured defenatly used Shermans.
Not only that, the only Sherman we have seen so far, is the Firefly with the British 17lb gun. Which was only used by Commonwealth forces and not used by the Americans.

Markings are a little off on the one we've seen. But it's not out yet, subject to change.

Come to think of it, i think the Sherman varient is the M4A4 (most fireflys were M4A4) which wasn't issued to US service personnel. It was lend lease only. So it really isn't a US tank.

M4A4 produced = 7499
Sent for lend lease = 7443
Issued to US army overseas = 0
