Getting 100% on Gaokao (750/750)
Beating the Gaokao test seems really daunting when you first play through, and there is basically no way to get 100% on your first generation. But the more gens you play through the more possible it becomes. I wonder how many ppl bothered to beat the Gaokao test, and if it is possible to do in the first gen?

I don't think it's possible to score top marks in the first generation. In fact, I haven't managed it even after several generations. It's supposed to be tough, though you probably know that. I'm waiting for the next update before coming back to the game. At the moment, the boy's experience is less socially robust than the girl's, and it throws me off. Once there has been another update (or two), I'll definitely be back to see how many generations it will take me.

I didn't know that a new update was coming out?
I suppose the boys dating mini game is like that because the males play the seeking role. But it is a bit strange. Trying to guess what the right answer is seems inconsistent.

I manage to beat Gaokao on gen 5. But I might have been able to do it earlier... I'm thinking about testing it and then making a guide about how early one can do it. But that is gonna take some serious grinding to test.
One of the biggest questions I have is how high should test skills (math, writing, English, ect.) be before Gaokao? With my winning character not all of there test stats were maxed out. But they still 100% the test!

There's pretty much no point in having high Gaokao marks. On first try, I did just that aiming for high scores and min/maxing all the skills and had like 600/750. But I've also literally had playthroughs where I did minimal work and skipped stuff just to try and aim for some of the traits and not caring about anything (when trying to do the ninja stuffs) and got Gaokao 250/750 or something and still got the best work from my line I was going for. So Gaokao seems to not affect anything at all at the moment and only thing it contributes is your face when you're doing exams.

It definitely doesn't have any reward for getting a higher score. Just as long as you get in is all that matters, I think?

I've had 100% a couple of times. I think it's partially based on luck, as well as completing every course in the core subjects.

usually what i do is wait to buy the skills and also try to only pop knowledge bubbles
that was the winning strategy that i used on my 750/750 character

You don`t even have to get into any university at all. Played my first generation, didn`t bother at all with Gaokao, failed every exam as miserable as possible and got 180/750 in the Gaokao and was qualified as a NEET. What job did I get? Lead designer because I focused entirely on my characters art skills and he gets a ton of money from it for my second generation to spend it.
