2 Luck, Try not to overload your task list. Do each activity once per round. Give 2 entertainments per round. Study,Study,Rest,Study, Study, Rest. Some of the rest activities are better stat builders then some study choices. Magic Pencil box,Le go Blox, Colored Pencils. Badmitton are great. Once you unlock a talent its is easier to get it on the children. I am averaging 30+ talents each game.
3 Stats may but mostly Subjects learned. Charm seems very important for ending you get but very hard to train for males.
4. Yes if you do your memory map well you can get close to 500 knowledge a round. Writing, talent show, and class elections can net you 150 to 900 knowledge points a pop.
5. I have only married my choice once. After failing 2 80% I stopped worrying about it. Then got lucky on a 20% and got married. If you fail you get auto married to a default partner. The line must continue :P
2. Not really, though some actions give better traits than others, so obviously if you take only actions that unlock legendary traits, you have a better chance of getting a good one when it does happen.
3. I think it is just skills learned.
4. If you focus on one topic then it is possible. It is harder if you are trying to learn everything to max. Also one thing you can do, is stockpile knowledge. If you do that, then you can afford those 999 point skills. One of the reasons that you can't get a super baby with multiple generations, is probably because these skills are very difficult to unlock even with insanely high stats.
Also after you complete the core subjects, there are even university level subjects. I got one of those the last game I played and my parents told me not to waste my time on advanced math because it wouldn't be on the test.
5. You get a default marriage. Having a successful marriage just gives you a few stat bonuses to pass on plus both parents will have the nicer parent graphic rather than the default parent graphic. So it is nice to get married but doesn't hurt anything if you don't.
That said, I am not sure what happens if you end up going crazy from stress. I never had that happen.
