Looks like you didn't have enough stats to branch out of that group perhaps? According to a chinese guide, you need: IQ - 4000 EQ - 2000 Imagination - 2000 Memory - 50 physical - 50 Charm - 50, which is just for the first math job
(top one requires 18000 IQ and 4000 imagination, the rest are the same)
So chances are you were low in one of those groups. Getting the jobs you want do get easier as you complete more generations, I just haven't personally done the math yet, but a lot of the jobs do require certain stats to be able to max out on (I've done a few jobs where I maxed out on learning the subject but missed out on the very last or second to last job position due to my stats not being high enough ): )

It's chinese, dunno which one though. Dunno where you're seeing the word ringo, but will say that there are quite a few characters that cross over between chinese and japanese but don't mean the same.

The movie is "Ringu", just so you can find it if you want.

It would be nice to be able to skip all the tutorial bits in the game after seeing them once for both the boy and girl. It just adds more unnecessary text when you understand how the game works after a couple of generations.

I love the game, i wish there was a skip button for conversations you already read, also, next time please hire an English speaker to do the translations, most of the time its fine and gets the point across, but other times its like either something got lost in translation, its a very "chinese concept", or its just bad writing, and they all can be fixed with a professional translation and help you growth personally as a developer.

Another important point the dating system is all around weird, for starters its much harder for a guy than a girl i dont know if by design, but its also weird how all the male dating prospects all get a short introduction, and the female dating prospects doesnt, AND ALSO, the female dating prospects got a 20/40/etc hearth relationship events, while the male dating prospects doesnt, its just hard to determine which system had less time invested in and you should do them the same

The game is so much fun however is there any way to prevent crashes for certain skills ? None of my generation can learn basic math or painting because of it.
