Yup. This would be really cool but this surely is the fault of the editor. If you ever played with it you know how tedious it is to make something happen. And the documentation is scarce
I've worked on Bieberfelde for EM4 and I'm working on Bieberfelde - Next Generation for EM5. Any questions? ;)
The editor is easier. But it's true, that programming and the import of new 3D models is more complex, but also more powerful on the other side.
And when was Bieberfelde - Next Generation for EM5 released? Because i see post dating back to last year. EM5 was released 3 years ago. There yet to be any mod that came close to even an em3 mod. So if so easy to used the modding tools why zero mods? T he group you say you part about has released no em5 mod either. There been one or two mods released that I seen. Most abbandoned after an update to em5 because the update was released.
Beside you even state the editor is more complex. EM5 has no real mods for one simple reason. the em4 modes found the editor to hard, found no documentations unless you where fluent in german. I been around the em4 moding community for over 11 years. I been member on emergency planet for that many years. You even finaly even admitted " that programming and the import of new 3D models is more complex" Seeing as that two major parts of modding. Scripts and models. What exactly is easyer? When EM4 was released it did not take 3 years for mods like LA mod or winterberg released. Mods that push that realy expanded on the base game. That added thing that em5 still those not have. What has been released for em5? No much. Nothing even close to those earl em4 mods. The reason the em3, and em4 mods choise not to mod for em5? Because the editor was hards, with no documentionation, and they old mods could not be covereted. It was not worth there effort. That what just about everyone of them said on emergency planet. Know I am not sure about the germ part of the comunity. But I image it the same since I have yet to see an em5 mod that realy adds anything to game and runs currently.
If you know of any feel to list mods that have been released. Mods in development realy can be counted till they been released. I do hope they do. But I doubt we ever say any em5 mods that come close to em3 or 4 mods.
Because there aren't many modders left, who can modify the game. It's a simple explanation: The EMERGENCY communities had their highest activities at the release of EMERGENCY 2012. Since then, the activity got lower every year, because lack of modding in EM2012/13/14 and the gameplay system of the games. That's why you can't expect the same modding activity as for EM3 / EM4. It takes time to rebuild the modding community...
EMERGENCY 4 was based on EMERGENCY 3. You could easily migrate EM3 modifications to EM4, so it's no big deal releasing EM4 projects short after the release of the game. The technic basically was the same.
Creating really good modifications for a game takes time. You can expect 2-3 years for development of good modifications. So just take time, seat back and get overwhelmed when the first big EM5 modification will be released.
Since you seem to be aware of EM5 modding scene. Is there ... any mods besides miniMod ?
I tried making my own but... i can mod skyrim, i can mod WoW.... But EM5... it's just too difficult for me.
Btw EM5 is 3 years old since yesterday ;)
Just check out the WebDisk of the German EMERGENCY-Forum. There are some smaller mods, but bigger ones are still in development (Bieberfelde, New Creek, some smaller village modifications).
2. Press "Addmod" or Drag and Drop the mod
3. Click on all mods that should load

Does and doesn't work but there's a big ADD MOD button at the bottom right that you click and then click on the ZIP file of the mod and click open and then bam it's in the game. Instructions are all on the website.
