Who is Stingbot Games and why The Forbidden Arts?
Stingbot Games is a very small team. In fact, the majority of Stingbot is just me, so I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sterling Selover and I designed the game, did all the programming, music, story, dialogue, and a lot of the level design, and sound effects. My wife Marcy has assisted with level design as well as help manage various other avenues of workflow.

The Forbidden Arts is my baby. Is it perfect? By all means no, it is not. To some, it might be a little hairy on the surface, but inside of its shell there's this cute, loveable heart that is pumping fire throughout its veins. This fire has been growing for three years and is something I call passion.

Let's get one thing straight: I'm not a pompous developer that thinks he knows it all. I'm an indie game romantic you might say. I created The Forbidden Arts because I wanted to make something I was passionate about. I did not sit around a conference table discussing the best ways to create the perfect In-App-Purchase scheme to steal all your hard-earned dollars. Instead I sat and thought about all the things I love in video games and decided that I could come up with something fun and unique, with a modest budget and produce it within a year. Three years later and a budget that's exceeded the original 5 times over, here I sit, writing on my laptop, wanting to help you understand how invested I am in this project. Obviously money is important, otherwise I couldn't do what I do, but it's far from being my primary motivation for creating The Forbidden Arts.

Will there be improvements to make on the game throughout Early Access? Yes, there absolutely will be. Will I improve things? I sure will, or I'll die trying.

I'm bringing The Forbidden Arts to Early Access because I need more eyes on this game. I love the game, but I've played it thousands of times over I'm quite biased to how it feels and plays and I won't know what needs to be tweaked or improved unless I get a lot more people playing the game. With your help, we can take The Forbidden Arts to the next level and have some fun in the process.

This game is like those super fun old PS1 games but with better graphics :) We need more of this things but no one have the balls to make it! It's amazing man!

I will keep a eye on this one and be sure to always try to make things better and better like better animations and stuff. Maybe even put some fancy dodges making the combat more skill based and about timing :)

Thanks Net Sphere Engineer! There's still quite a bit of work to do on the game but I think it's off to a good start :) Lots to come!

And yes, I think tweaking the combat system would be great. Already thinking about lots of ways to improve it.
Yes! Like you said it's a damn good start :)

I just wanted to force you make the game be even better hahahaha
