whats the best pick?

Outside of say something from purchased chests, whats a good pick to go for, me I think its the Cursed Pick but maybe there is something better

Sono pickaxe cuz have nice songs and particles and you can get "Raver" achievement

Perhaps the best one depends on your playstyle.

You have already said that you aren't interested in paying for the game. Probably that means you aren't interested in pickaxes that need runic to unpgrade.

But there are also other questions: Are you in a hurry to get through levels? Do you like to get the blocks for upcoming levels before you get there? Is minimal clicking on bosses important to you?

Jeeze just wanted to know like what has the best effect, from what I can tell the Cursed Pick gets stronger the more books I have but don't know what it means by that, like pps or boss damage

I think what aurinko.keltainen was trying to get at is that there is no "best' pickaxe effect or power.
Certain pickaxes are best for doing certain things.

That aside, if I could only have one special pickaxe I'd choose Yogg's Tentacle. Once you've upgraded your skills a bit to take advantage of pickaxe powers, starting a fresh prestige using Yogg's power lets you upgrade pickaxes from The End biome quite quickly, making the run much quicker. It also helps in gathering rare blocks like cheese and anything from teleport only biomes.

Yoggs FTW, its a mini teleport. without skill needed to be used (esp since im on prest 20 and STILL DONT have teleport skill)


I find it REALLY SICK that the devs want 20 runic powder per lvl per pick.
seriously, that FORCES you to idle the game for weeks getting chests free and opened and bosses, just to get 1-3 runic randomly

1 week i got 48 runic playing all day every day
thats nuts

love the game devs but sry your funding is so over the top priced.
just dont get why you think 20 runic is ok per lvl vs making it say 5 per lvl until lvl 13 then 10 per lvl until 20 then 15 ... etc

also lvling picks is lame
if you get the pick later its best..

as if you get it early you are FORCED to upgrade it vs it being upgraded when you obtain it.

AND I WANNA SEE all the advanced pictures for the picks :(

I did get the Bone pick which has the destroy blocks with one strike ability but also the ability to sometimes get me free Wolves so in theory if i autoclick I can infinitly increase my PP
Speaking of whcih wouldn't mind getting an auto click ability LOL

about 7 picks destroy all blocks in 1 go

esp when you get to time ones , or the cookies etc. all one go
those PP infinite arent true, even with autoclicker, its about the same..
the one YOU MIGHT be thinking of, is all picks count as double picks aka x2 Picks per hit

yogo pogo stick is still the only one worth a fart

and even then.. not worth paying to upgrade.. ugh.

You should be able to use abilities to activate pickaxe powers without ever having to upgrade the pickaxe.

TNT, Drill, Hot Potato, or probably even Anvil.

what does that even mean

of course you can use abilities..
but if your picks are lvl 10 and you are like prestige 22, your picks wont do ANYTHING to the walls. trust that.
you are FORCED to pay money or idle for 1-2 weeks to get 20 runic (or get lucky on the spins and chests) as there is no + to runic drops skill)

Sorry, I was referring to the picks that can break blocks in one hit and do something special once you activate their power, like Yogg's Tentacle, and the picks with powers that don't need to break blocks to be useful, like the Rainbow Pickaxe.
