when i use pickcrafter ... when I try to play, the game closes unexpectedly and says I'm using cheats... which is a mistake because I don't have any assets from that... please help

Did you tried to modify anything like the inner codes with Cheat engine for instance, or a certain applications tried to interference with the game (blocking)?
(Cheat Engine was heavily exploited before, that's why It's blocked.)

It seems to be a process in the background of my computer that sees it as cheat! Closing all background processes opens the game normally but I don't use any of that

Autoclickers are allowed. Cheat engine and other memory injected / DLL-hooking / syscall hijacking / resource file overwriting tools are not.

the cheat detection doesnt appear to be that clever.
i opened cheat engine in the background and left it for an hour: nothing detected
i hooked in cheat engine and just left it for another hour: nothing detected

yet it manages to detect false positives

It actually IS clever. Only ACTUAL cheaters get punished. Not those who are merely curious.
Yours is a strange test. If you simply run CE alongside the game but don't use it to cheat, why again should you be banned for it? You rightfully shouldn't Am I not right?
