only thing thats not random is that there are set eggs per gear or menu etc
but where.. is not known as they change per person.
some can only guide

Here are some of the places I have found eggs:
In the stats for pickaxes. (click the pickaxe to equip, then click the icon that explains the ability of the pickaxe)
Panda companion
The "oh noes!!" screen that flies across when you repeatedly click on something you can't afford.
The biome screen partially hidden behind the biome names
The trophy counter that pops up when you defeat a boss
The runic store
when you go to trash an artifact
amp codes
the drill

The eggs are sometimes big, sometimes tiny.

or its not panada.. its X Y Z companion.
once again it seems these can vary.

One of them appears when you defeat a boss, on the little thing that shows your progress to the next trophy. You can ONLY see this egg when your window is in VERTICAL form factor, so you have to resize the game window so that it snaps to a window that's taller than it is wide.
