What's the point of Frost Aura?

Like, what is that last line referring to? To my knowledge, no biome requires it, so it seems like a way, waaaaaay weaker form of the generic Pickaxe Power.

It was probably referring to a future biome or something.
It's supposed to be a small reload + short Pickaxe Power, yeah.. not really that useful at low level.

It's good to start Pickaxe Power. You don't have to upgrade your Pickaxes at all with that method.

...but I've never had problems starting Pickaxe Power. I used to swing the Eye of Ender Pickaxe, but I recently got Yogg's Tentacle which is more convenient. I can skip all other pickaxes at the very start of a prestige for Enderstone or Enderium Pickaxes, then upgrade my other utility pickaxes. The only one of which I am using is the Anti-Chronos to speed up the Furnace. I have the Ender Chest Pickaxe, but that seems entirely broken as it does not correctly give out Ender Chests. Frost Aura just seems...pointless till that last bit about it being useful comes into play in a later update. Also, having 21 points into sharp pickaxes (+2 from artifacts) makes them mine super good and fast.

Edit: Also, crits apparently actually factor into mining, I thought crits were just nothing, but they super enhance mining speed.
