Failing Scenario?

Is there a turn limit for failing the game?

The cursed army hasn't taken out all of my settlements yet I failed the game?

There needs to be some sort of indication in the game about Turn LIMIT.

Or a DOOM counter of some sort. The cursed army moves around but I've been dodging them to build up the exp and army a bit before attacking head on. And then suddenly it said I failed.
