#57 struggles

I usually don't have too many troubles with the medium ones, or even the hard ones. But I got stuck on medium #57 for more than an hour. Eventually I gave up and used an online solver to show me the next step. It showed me a couple of strong chains in a row (most of which I had found by myself), including one chain of FIFTEEN different boxes just to remove one potential number. That can't be right can it? Especially for a normal difficulty Sudoku.

I also had to start over several times because I made a mistake that I could not figure out where the mistake was.

I am not sure why #57 was so hard to do, compared to other Medium Levels. Maybe it should have been a Hard or Ninja Level.

My guesses were in 4,2 and 6,2 (where 1,1 is the upper left hand corner and the first digit is the row, and the 2nd digit is the column).

The Pro Packs are MUCH harder than any of the other levels.
I first did ALL 225 levels 4 plus years ago when they were released.
Since then I have done over 820 of the Random levels.

Usually I could most of the Normal Difficulty levels without having to do guesses.
The Pro Pack levels usually required 1 or 2 correct guesses for me to solve.

There is not much Steam Forum activity in this Game. Just by some old die hard fans like myself who keep playing the random games, and who check the Forum occasionally
to help others.

The game is DEAD, with nothing new from the Publishers in about 4 or more years.


Most of my Steam Achievements for the original game, i.e. levels 1 to 150 without the Pro Packs were in Spring 2018. The Pro Packs were added near the end of that year IIRC. After that they changed the Random levels to allow you to select a difficulty level for them.
So the last changes to this game were probably back in the first part of 2019.

My Time spent playing this game on Steam is almost 471 hours total for ALL levels and the 820 Random levels, but it is actually a lot more than that since I have solved some levels more than one time, to help others with a problem.
On my other (older computer) I have solved most of the Pro Packs a 2nd time so that I could keep a record of my solutions to them, unlike when I first did them.
