Oculus VR Mode

So I'm one of the VR users that constantly has problems using my Oculus with Steam VR and I'm contemplating getting this game on Oculus so I can avoid the hassle that is Steam VR. But I also want achievements, though they serve no real purpose. If I get the game on steam will there be a pop up prompt like this, https://imgur.com/a/SOZRUhr or will it start up in Steam VR only?

I'm not sure... have you tried going into Steam VR and then trying to start the game?

Yep all I've gotten is a black screen

Odd, is it all of your games?

Most of the time I try to launch Payday 2 in Steam VR it crashes, Steam VR Home crashes, and playing Blade And Sorcery in Steam VR mode is a buggy mess.

That's weird, does it need any kind of update?

Nope everything is up to date, has gone through a game file integrity check, and has been uninstalled and reinstalled.
