New Launch Date! May 28th!

Hey everybody,

We wanted to reach out and give everyone an update. We are pushing out the launch date by a week. There are a few reasons and we wanted to make sure you guys get the direct scoop first.

One of the reasons is launching on the 21st hampered a few marketing opportunities that we didn't want to lose out on. It also gives us another week of adding polish and last minute adjustments, which is always welcomed by a developer. The current build is great and we could go live on the 21st if push came to shove but we all came together and Scott agreed to push back the launch 1 extra week. Scott has been incredibly supportive and has been the best partner a developer could ask for.

We appreciate all your passion and patience and we hope we can live up to the high standards of the community!

We want to thank the Mods for keeping an eye on the forums while we are hunkered down trying to make the best game possible.

What if the "marketing opportunities" is Markiplier and/or Jack Black posting Help Wanted gameplay videos a week before release?

It'd be a reverse of what happened with FNaF 4. Where Mark & Jack played it to promote the new Goosebumps movie.

Man this sucks. I'm really glad that the game is being pushed back so that improvements can be made, but now i'll be waiting almost a month just to play it. I just got everything set up to play it but at least this is for extra polishing and fixes. A good thing to do would be to release the game and then update it when the fixes have been made so that the people that won't be able to play it on a later date could at least try it out.

If that’s was the marketing then I guess that’s going to benefit people who don’t have a VR headset or don’t know if they want to get it or not. But for people like me who are planning on playing it, well not so much... why? Because I don’t want to get spoiled, but at the same time, I’m so looking forward to this! I just want to play it right now! Like when I saw a notification of the gameplay my heart just jumped! I was like “Is it out?!” But Scott always gives early access to youtubers like Fushion and Dawko which doesn’t surprise me xD but it could also be a good thing, so if they find bugs that they haven’t caught they can hurry and fix it before they release it. Unless they are just trolling and are going to release it tomorrow xD
