FNaF security breach cancelled?

l was looking for news on the upcoming FNaF security breach title and all l find is months old material and trailer reactions ,was the game cancelled or scrapped? ,also will there be another VR FNaF game?

Steel Wool has been pretty silent since Scott announced his retirement. At this point its hard to say but i doubt it is straight up cancelled. it is pretty close to being finished judging by the last trailer they showed but it would be nice just to hear a announcement that it is still being worked on. I imagine it is going to still be released but just later than expected.

Steel Wool themselves should get the IP ,l love what they did the Help Wanted VR ,it remains the undisputed vr horror title apex as of today

Help Wanted is definitely my favourite horror game to play in VR. I have cleared my save file to re play through it every October since it came out. Scott did announce that he will be leaving the franchise in the hands of someone else. Someone he trusts to take the reigns.

I mean there's a good chance that the person that takes over the FNAF franchise works at Steel Wool seeing how they are the first company to release a FNAF game where Scott wasn't the only dev on it.

It's not cancelled. They've been teasing some sort of date with that Freddy and Friends On Tour thing for a while now. Maybe all will revealed tomorrow, maybe not. But I don't really know anything about what it all might be heading towards.
