HELP WITH THE FLAT MODE PLEASE :(

Hello everyone, I recently bought the game since I knew that it was possible to play it without having a vr device, however when I´m going to start running it I got two different options, one says "start Fnaf Hw in ...", the other one just says "start Fnaf Hw", The first time I opened the game I could play in the flat mode, but since there the other times it just starts in the vr mode (you can notice this because of the lack of resolution in some things like the words in the main menu, also it's strange that the screen doesn't recognize my mouse cursor in the bottom part, where there are the options to see the credits and quit the game, so I cant select those and I have to close the game by using alt+tab).

I tried by launching the game with the "-nohmd" command, but it doesn't work. Also a curious thing is that when I erase all the data the initial option of modifying the bright makes my game to recongnize the cursor again like the first time I ever played it, and the game continues in flat mode (I can´t do this in the options menu since the bright is in the bottom part as well as the back options, and I can´t change it as I mentioned before), of course when I restart the game later it just goes with the vr mode again.

That's the whole problem I got, hope you can help or advise me people.

Here's a thing I do when the game starts up and it always worked for me. When the game starts in VR mode, press the Windows button to bring up the taskbar. On said bar, there should be an icon that says VR. That's SteamVR. Close that out and you should be good.

Hello, I opened the taskbar after starting the game, but I don't see that VR icon :(, why is this happening?, I just see the steam client Bootstrapper icon, when I display it there are only one single icon that says "steam" and other four with the same message (steam client WebHelper). How do I get the vr icon, maybe it is needed another program that I'm forgetting?

Edit: In the taskbar there is also another icon that says gameoverlayui.exe

From what I read, it sounds like you went to the task manager. That isn't where you should be going. Do you see a line at the bottom of your desktop? That's the taskbar. There is where the VR icon should be. I just launched the game and I got that icon down there.

I also looked there, but it was only the normal steam icon, anyway I emailed to Steel Wool, and they gave me the solution, if someone else want to know the first option says actually "start fnaf hw in VR mode", so if you want to play in flat mode select the second option, and f you have the problem I got with the resolution and with the options at the bottom, just select continue, then you'll realize that it is actually the flat mode, and if you go back to the main menu you will be able to select the credits and quit the game options, also the resolution will be fixed, so the problem is only in the main menu of the game. Finally they said me that they are working on fix that problem, anyway thank you for taking your time to answer concerns that the others have, you make the FNAF community much more pleasant as well as Steel Wool, being so attentive and making such a great game
