FNaF VR: Basic Info for Newcomers
Since Glacier hasn’t updated his thread, I’m gonna make a new one with updated information. A little disclaimer before the info dump starts, while yes I am a mod that Scott/Steel Wool hired, I am not part of the dev team. That means I'm not in the know about everything that's going on with the game. This thread is entirely composed of information that was already released to the public. Now with all that out of the way.....

Price: $29.99 ($9.99 for Curse of Dreadbear DLC. If you are outside of the US, you can convert the prices to your currency using this link[www1.oanda.com])

Release Date: May 28th 2019 for base game, multiple days in late October 2019 for Curse of Dreadbear, and December 17th 2019 for non-VR.

ESRB Rating: T (Teen) for Fantasy Violence.

Parents looking into buying this game for your kids, I would suggest seeing how they handle the other games in the series first. Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator and Ultimate Custom Night are both free on Steam and GameJolt, so I would suggest having them play those or any other FNaF game before this one to make sure they don't get too scared. If you're concerned about blood, gore, language, or any other explicit or inappropriate content, the ESRB rating only includes "Fantasy Violence" as a descriptor, so I don't think any of that should be worried about

PEGI Rating: 12 for "scenes of a horrific nature that younger players may find disturbing." If you're a parent that lives in Europe, I'd highly recommend taking the same advice as highlighted under the ESRB section.

Will it work without a headset? As of December 17th 2019: Yes.

(Following question is intended for VR users) Is this game able to be played with just 1 controller instead of the typical 2?

You can play this with only one controller. However I don't recommend it, at least for the other games. Fnaf 1 I was able to get to night 3 with no real issues as far as using one controller. However having two is just the way to play it as you can be much quicker. Fnaf 2 was when I started having trouble keeping up. Trying to turn the lights on, checking the monitor, wind up the box, and putting on the mask was incredibly hard with one controller. So you CAN play with one controller, I just don't recommend it, unless you really have no other choice and one of your controllers is no longer working like mine is.

Play Area: Sitting or Standing

You should probably also include the PEGI rating (16)

Does it have any descriptors other than "Fantasy Violence"?

I don't think so. The trailer with the PEGI rating doesn't have descriptors, and ESRB just says Fantasy Violence.

It's ESRB except it's for Europe.

Now that I've actually looked into it, Glacier has incorrectly reported the PEGI rating to me. He said 16 when it's really 12.[pegi.info] Sorry for any inconvenience that false reporting may've caused. I've corrected it on the post.

Hey, mistakes are made on accident sometimes. I can see this is one of those times. I forgive ya.
When it comes out can you give us a difficulty range [like easy, normal, hard, very hard] for each gamemode? since we've seen like every level apart from 1

I'll try, but the list won't be 100% definitive since it'll come from 1) my own experiences and 2) how YouTubers have been able to get through the game modes.

well you could use multiple people's opinions, like the other mods, the youtubers etc

That's what I was implying.
