Hold up. Why isn't Batman in 'Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted'?
Hey, I've got a question: Why isn't Batman in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted?

Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, the biggest horror game of the last decade, brings all the iconic animatronics together for a glorious, action-packed send-off. Well, almost all the iconic animatronics.

There was one glaring omission: Batman.

Batman is nowhere to be seen in Help Wanted, which is odd because most other big FNaF characters are featured in it — Freddy, Chica, Mangle, Springtrap, and so many others. But no Batman.

As a huge Batman fan, I’ve been hoping for years that the caped crusader would pop up at some point in the FNaF Universe. I thought it was weird that he wasn’t in Five Nights at Freddy's back in 2014, and weirder that he didn’t appear in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator or Ultimate Custom Night, which both featured a handful of the most popular animatronics (and honestly some pretty lame ones, too).

I thought for sure Batman would appear, at last, in CASE: Animatronics, considering it was billed as the “most ambitious FNaF crossover event in history.” When I bought the game, I was excited to see him fight alongside Freddy Fazbear and the gang.

But Batman never showed.

And I get it, you can’t have every character present, even if it is such a huge game. Was I disappointed? Of course. But I still held out hope that the dark knight himself would appear in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, the culmination of less than a decade of interwoven FNaF games.

I’m sad to report to my fellow Batman fans that Help Wanted is a whole game of Batman-free action.

I mean, come on. Batman is widely known as one of the most popular animatronics of all time. How do you not include him?

He isn't even in the background of any parts of the game, and I didn’t see any Batman easter eggs like a Battarang stuck to a wall or anything to tease his presence. It’s as if Scott Cawthon doesn’t even want to include Batman in his games.

Why not? Is he too good? Would it be unfair to all the other animatronics? Is it because he exists outside of the FNaF universe and SteelWool doesn't own the game rights to DC Comics? Hmmm.

Batman could have easily fit in that part with William Afton in purgatory. Or if he got killed off in FNaF 3's fire, it would have been awesome to see him show up with the rest of the animatronics for the final battle against Cassidy.

No luck.
Honestly, at this point, I feel like Batman is never going to show up in the FNaF games.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that he'll pop up in the next era of games, but at this point, I'm not going to put money on it.

Actually, FNaF is in Gotham. It’s a little known fact that Joker is actually William Afton
