The Jeremy Theory
I haven't been on Steam in a long, long time, but this has been bugging me...

The Jeremy Theory
-
Think all the way back to FNaF 4. Remember the Bite of '83? Whoa. Nostalgia am I right? Well, I'm about to blow your mind... What if the Bite of '83 never happened?
-
Hold on. So basically, in FNaF VR: Help Wanted, the disembodied voice we all know and love tells us that most of the events the all know and love tells us that most of the events that we have been trying to unscramble are simply fabricated the make the company look worse than it actually is. But, this may just be a little way of Scott keeping plot by "saving" Fazbear Entertainment.
-
Now, we hear the secret tapes in a secret room that mind you, is not a mistake. The woman on the tapes mentions a co-worker by the name of Jeremy, who reported feeling very uncomfortable with the design of the characters in the game. But... what if this Jeremy is the Jeremy we all know from FNaF 2? What if this Jeremy is the Bite of '87 victim? What is this Jeremy's last name isn't Fitzgerald at all? What if Jeremy's last name is actually Afton?
-
Notice how Michael Afton (Mike Schmidt) "lied" about his last name? What if Jeremy did the same thing? Except by changed his last name to Fitzgerald.
-
Ah, Phone Guy, my favorite character. i feel like he has some important information, as always. Anyways, Phone Guy specifically mentions the Bite of '87. "The animatronics used to be able to walk around during the day too, until there was the 'Bite of '87.' Yeah... It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe... You know?"
-
But in FNaF 3, you hear the recording of Phone Guy saying: "There's been a slight change of company policy concerning one of the suits. Um... Don't! After learning of an unfortunate incident at the central location involving multiple and simultaneous spring lock failures, the company has deemed the suits temporarily unfit for employees."
-
"Well, duh!" You're saying. "Of course they're unfit for employees! Fredbear killed that little boy in FNaF 4!" I understand, I promise.
-
But, I think that the safety spiel was to cover up for the murder of the children. As we know, William Afton lured children to the "hidden to customers, invisible to animatronics, and always off camera" safe room mentioned if there was any injury inside the spring lock suits. He killed them inside the Spring Bonnie animatronic.
-
What if that is the 'incident' instead of the Bit of '83? You'd think that if Phone Guy can mention the Bite of '87, he could just simply mention the Bite of '87 just fine, right?
-
Also, in the Help Wanted tapes, the woman mentions that her co-worker, Jeremy had to tell her and the team something about the robots, but nobody bothered to listen to him. That's much like what happened in the FNaF 4 cutscenes with the Crying Child. All the other kids thought he was weird for being so afraid of the robots and bushed it off like he was being a lunatic. Nobody bothered to recognize what he was saying until his unfortunate injury.
-
I'm sure many of us have come to the conclusion that Jeremy "Fitzgerald" was the '87 victim, which is why e is not present on Night 6 in FNaF 2, and why the building is on lockdown. So, what is he did get bitten in the head, but it didn't actually happen in '83? What if that little boy in FNaF 4 was Jeremy Afton and ended up getting nearly killed later in life?
-
I've been watching Markiplier and MatPat pay Help Wanted for the past two or so weeks. Today, I was watching them again, of course, when something struck me again.
-
Jeremy is one of the developers of a VR game. However, the woman on the tapes says that he has been playing this game a lot lately, much like you in Help Wanted. You are playing this VR game.
-
Have you noticed that the height of your character in help wanted looks so small? I know the animatronics are pretty tall, but sometimes we just look to be too short to be an adult. I'm not saying that there isn't such thing as shorter people. as I'm a pretty short person myself, but it seems pretty odd.
-
From visiting the Prize Corner, to your view of the Show Stage, you are about the size of a child. you are playing as a child stuck in a nightmare universe.
-
I was watching Markiplier play Help Wanted, and once he got Marionette action figure. Of course, being the dork he was, Mark attempted to eat it. Then, the character began to make choking and heavy breathing noises, implying that the action figure didn't go down very well.
-
This morning, I was watching MatPat play the game, when I decided to take a few scrolls into the comment section on his video: "Let's Find These Tapes," a user by the name of Venus De Milo commented: "According to Mark in his newest video, you can apparently eat (well, choke as there are choking sounds and heavy breathing) the action figures. I don't know if this is a cool feature, but it may help you towards "The Player is a Child" theory as well. Mostly, children put things in their mouths and choke on toys..."
-
Children do normally put smaller toys in their mouths. it's just a child thing to do. You are exploring the world around you. Even though the heavy breathing is that of an adults, it still seems pretty clear that the player may very well be a child. The FNaF 4 Crying Child, Jeremy "Fitzgerald" Afton.
-
Remember, this is just a theory. And as always, remember to smile! You are the face of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Main problem with this theory: Assuming Jeremy is Afton. The game files confirmed that the FNaF 4 kid’s name is “Norman”. Also, Norman dies from the bite. We even hear a flatline

One thing I'd like to point out is that Jeremy...No last name given, in this game, has a very specific cause of death; he seems to have decapitated himself with the graphics table blade. (I've had experience with one in an art class, and it is 100% capable of it) So this does call into question if the previous Jeremy is the same as this one or a completely different one. Either way, we have a Jeremy working at the FNAF2 location which came before FNAF1 and Fazbear's Fright. So the question is really where this game takes place in the timeline.

If it fits in earlier, when William Afton was still alive and the Funtime Series were still going to be marketed, (this would explain the lack of FFPS levels) Or after the company went under and the Simulator location burned out. But the question really is which Jeremy it is, Fitzgerald or a new Jeremy, or say, Jeremy Fitzgerald jr.

It is also kinda sketchy if Jeremy did kill himself, it seems like he did to keep Glitchtrap from getting into his head, thus why Glitchtrap is still in the game trying to transfer to you.

Yeah the name varies but I think when someone data-mined the model is named Glitchtrap.
