edit: by this I mean that since they own all the files they can edit them to make movement easier by the good ol' reliable WASD. Just wanted to clarify that bit.
I get the sentiment, but Help Wanted was designed with VR controls in mind. For that reason, creating a non-VR version presents a lot of problems. Either the controls would be very awkward/poor, or a lot of Steel Wool's resources would have to be dedicated to essentially making an alternate game mode from scratch.
Granted, there are VR games that I think would work great in a traditional fashion. Star Trek: Bridge Crew controls pretty okay outside of VR, I've heard. But a game that's 30-50% just VR versions of already existing games may not be a great choice to do this with in the first place.
