is FNaF HW ever coming to pc? Well here's why it should.
I currently don't have a VR system so I can't get this game, but I feel that noting the fact there is no PC port should be acknowledged. This is much more of a missed opportunity if anything, because a large amount of FNaF games are for PC and mainly PC.

Subnautica did something that could be done with HW and that is a halfway-ish thing, where it is both VR and a pc game all in one. Please note this is mainly just an idea for the devs of HW could get some M O N A Y , so please don't call me salty for just not having this new and amazing piece of gaming yet.

There are already fan-made FNaF:HW clones being made on Game-Jolt but just without VR, taking the game and just porting it themselves. I'm just assuming they're going to put it up for free or make money for themselves without giving income to the OG authors of FNaF:HW, so making it a two for one deal means more M O N A Y, you look cooler to the community, and poor-er people can actually play. Not to mention the fan remakes could be much buggier and worse than the actual game.

of course this is just from some idiot with a "potato" gaming computer, so this could be a bad idea. I await a response on reasoning why or why not. If you're not the dev feel free to give me an idea on why not or why not they would take these steps to do so. :steamhappy:

It's not simple at all to make a VR Game like this into a PC game. Not many games have succeeded at doing both; a complete remaster would be needed. New collision data for the walls, new ways to move, etc

I see what you mean, but if subnautica could do it with a decent outcome then this game can too. Not to mention the fact people are doing this already (https://gamejolt.com/games/FNaFHWDR/415457) and that assuming the devs have the game they have the chance to make a port to get a bit more dough with a pc port, also making the fans happy. I know this will probably not happen but as I said. "of course this is just from some idiot with a 'potato' gaming computer"

edit: by this I mean that since they own all the files they can edit them to make movement easier by the good ol' reliable WASD. Just wanted to clarify that bit.

Subnautica was the other way around. It was a normal desktop game that was ported to VR, which is a lot simpler of a process. I'll also mention that I've tried Subnautica in VR before, and it's infested with issues that suck all the fun out of the game.

I get the sentiment, but Help Wanted was designed with VR controls in mind. For that reason, creating a non-VR version presents a lot of problems. Either the controls would be very awkward/poor, or a lot of Steel Wool's resources would have to be dedicated to essentially making an alternate game mode from scratch.

Granted, there are VR games that I think would work great in a traditional fashion. Star Trek: Bridge Crew controls pretty okay outside of VR, I've heard. But a game that's 30-50% just VR versions of already existing games may not be a great choice to do this with in the first place.

Thank you for explaining. You really expanded upon HyperGhost's words, have a great day.
