I got this to work with Windows 10
So yeah, I had that awfull slowmo bug while running on W10. I tried lots of things but the sollution was actually pretty straightforward. So... first of all let me say this. DO NOT use the launch commands, they actually got my game to run even slower. That aside I didn't used any compatibility mode option.

Go to "Documents/my games/Majesty HD" and open MajXPrefs with the notepad.
I changed PixDepth to 32 (I'm like 100% sure every monitor nowdays is 32 bit color-depth)
VSync, change that 0 for a 1. Save the doc... AND THAT'S IT! :trainbowbarf:

So my doc ended up looking like this:

<DataGroups>
<PixWidth>1920</PixWidth>
<PixHeight>1080</PixHeight>
<PixDepth>32</PixDepth>
<Windowed>0</Windowed>
<DebugFlags>1</DebugFlags>
<VSync>1</VSync>
<BlitMode>1</BlitMode>
<IntroVideo>0</IntroVideo>
</DataGroups>

Game runs perfectly fine! Constant, normal speed, no framerate drops.

It's weird because in another Win10 thread, someone posted a MajXPref file that worked for them and VSync was 0. I'm not sure if there's a common theme with Win10 problems yet; some seem to be speed, some seem to be graphics, and some seem to be permissions.

But I'm glad this worked for you.

So here are my specs:

Windows10
Intel i7 4770k
2GB GIGABYTE GTX770
12GB DDR3 RAM
Running at 1080p

Maybe you're running on ATI or AMD?

Try running the beta?
One of it's goals is improvements for W10 users.

Unless the beta just breaks your game more like it did mine. this was the only fix I could find, and I've been searching for many hours over several days. Thanks OP!

The problem has been mentioned countless times. I know because I sunk myself in forums talking about bugs and solutions to bugs, and from what I've just seen, the problem was never solved.

There hasn't been any mentiom of the *beta* breaking the game. The beta is supposed to allow HD to run into Windows 10 since Windows 10 didn't exist (publicly) when it was released.

Well, it doesn't work. It didn't worked for me and many other users, that's why I made this post with the only working solution I found.

Can you describe why the beta doesn't work for you? Does it not startup at all? Are there any error messages? I would love to fix the issues, but if I can't replicate them, I'm just shooting in the dark.

Can you point me to some of the other forum posts you mentioned describe the problem you and others are having? It would be a great help.

I won't point you to the posts since the problems I had are now gone. I can tell that 7 moths ago, when I originally wrote this post, Majesty HD was a coktail of bugs even the beta, but now I don't have any problems at all (at least for me). But yeah, I can remember on this same forum, one post was sticked and it had instructions to make the game "playable" on W10 with compatibility modes and command prompts.

I just downloaded the game and setting the game to run the beta instead gave no problems at all, so I thank you, or whoever fixed the mess of software you were selling on Steam it's all good and fine now, so again, thanks... But it seems other users like avengingme still have problems to make the game run. You should ask them, not me bruh.
