buggy multiplayer
so me and a friend tried a 2 player game over steam which allowed us to use northern expansion player and enemy forces but as soon as we host a 3 player game we're unable to do that. Also it doesn't allow us to have 3 palaces in the game. it doesn't show all three players in the lobby and when we start the game it spawns two palaces and two of the three players are forced to play the same palace.

AI have done a 3 player game successfully. Any more information about what the starting parameters were would be helpful. Just a basic random freestyle game?

It was a 3 player lobby set to public. We did manual settings, the first time we set Outpost as player forces and then set enemy forces to Yeti Rampage; I don't remember all the other settings we had set.

In your original post, you state that one of the players did not appear in the lobby, was the third player's slot in the list completely empty? i.e. it didn't even have "Player Three" in the UI box, or was that there and the box where the player's name appear empty? I'm trying to figure out if the lobby was created as a two player lobby, even though you set it to three. It will always say 2 Players in the lobby browser list, I have a fix for that, but in the Staging Room screen, the UI should show the correct number of slots allotted for the game. There is another bug where even if the game is set to two players, it will let three join. However, when that happens, the host shouldn't be able to start the game. At least that was the case when I was testing it. Perhaps you were able to start the game and that was why two players were at the same location. The game needs to know the number of players when the lobby is created because it needs to pick the Force Layout for the Random Generation system that supports that number of players. This is why the Player Forces list is different, depending on how many players are in the game.

The game was set to three player and the lobby showed openings for three players when i started hosting. The player is what didn't appear on just the third player slot even though on their screen they were in the lobby and could ready up. Once we started the game after all players were ready, that's when the map loaded up with only two kingdoms and two of the three players playing the same kingdom. Also, would the inability to do northern expansion player and enemy forces be subject to change in the future or will it always be that way?
