Nana
Spent an hour trying to kill them. I think I'm about done with this game. How do you defeat them?

Which part of the mission you are in?

Killing Commander Nana. Got their shields down, I attack their hull, they stealth, I shoot them as soon as they become visible so they can't repair much, repeat, and they stealth before I can damage them more than halfway. Every time.

Hello Glacialis, there is no different way to destroy that one :( But you can always change difficulty settings via the general settings interface. Especially the "damage handicap " adjustments are very effective in this regard.

and that is official response. Damn.. Can't win - just 'hack' it. And no, instant infinite stealth is not a bug, nah-a.
Dropped this game back beacause of this mission in 2018 (I think). Time to do it again, for good.

Just got to this fight myself. It is incredibly infuriating to know that this fight was intentionally designed to be legitimately impossible to win. After getting through a bit of jank setting up everything, I was starting to have a lot of fun and was looking forward to the second game coming out in a couple of weeks. You can absolutely bank on that NOT happening now.

It is not impossible. You just have to immediately evade once he goes stealth because he will most likely appear behind you. Then you attack rinse and repeat. I just shot multi missiles at him as long as he was visible. They sometimes even impacted after he went stealth.

In case there is a problem you can just boost away from him for a while because he can not attack you out of weapons range and (afair) will not go stealth if you are too far away.

It is impossible, but not for the reasons you apparently think. Taking damage was not the problem; being able to inflict damage that stuck was. The combination of constant stealth and repair drones, neither of which you can do anything about, made it impossible to do any lasting damage to this guy. I wasn't getting killed from the stealth, it was a stalemate because of the repair drones. There ought to have been something in the fight to disable one or both of those things.

Yea the challenge was to do more damage than he repairs. It must be possible because there are many players who finished him, inclusing me.

just had that mission. my only problem was my energy, which was low all the time since the enemies never stopped spawning (should've spent that point in halving the weapons power consumption...). besides that, nana just died. missile, missile salvo, turret ability, simply brute force :D i'm lvl 12 or so

Yeah, when you're levelled up and well geared, it's not so bad. The trick is to attack AS SOON AS HE DROPS CLOAK. That way his repair droid things go quicker and doesn't repair up.

That's easier when close up, but then he'll use his minefield. It would be possible to grind him down with missiles plus lasers from a bit further away, but it's near impossible to hit from afar with a laser as his ship is hidden behind its own status bar (!) and the ludicrous drone identifiers.
I finally got him after i realized you can see where he's going just after starting to cloak. He always tries to get behind you, so when you know approximately where he's going, you can turn that way and start shooting in his direction just as he uncloaks.

I finally figured this one out. You can only kill her if you dont do a target lock on middle mouse button, every time you lock and do minor damage NANA just jumps away to repair. If you dont lock and damage with turrets and stick close you can bring her health down. She may jump one or two times but if you are quick you can nail her when she appears with turrets and no lock.
