Yes, definately. If you're into economy building and managing, yes!!. Games looks very polished, plays like a charm.

This is not an easy question to answer and that has to be answered by everyone him-/herself tbh :)

I can only answer for me, and i think yes. It already has a lot to offer and provides good playability. Be aware that this is not a finished game, features can be added or removed, things can change and sometimes your saves won't load with a new update. Expect that there can (and will be) some bugs at it's current state, it's still in development. But if you're ok with that and you want to sink your time into building a train and road network, setting up production sites and play around with conveyors, you're at the right spot.
I have the game since the pre-alpha and i sunk over 100 hours into it already.
I suggest you watch some gameplay or test videos on youtube from yesterday or today to see if this fits your desire :)

I think it's great right now, and new features and mods are going to make this an unbelievable game. I think $25 is slightly steep for EA, but it's definitely not a disappointing purchase.

I would say absolutely. The basic algorithms for routing and joining roads and rails seem sound, and I haven't had a single crash yet. I have 12 hours in, and admittedly I'm a slow learner, but I'm enjoying myself.

OpenTTD is all about transportation, Voxel Tcoon is transportation and production and research, my favourite part.

I vote No... similar to Transport Services and fixed some of the interface issues that had. But still slow and cumbersome to develop the game.

In the last 6 months i have purchased industry giant and transports, in my opinion voxel tycon beats them in every aspect and even being at early access now it's in my top 3 trains game "OpenTTD, Transport Fever 2 and Voxel Tycoon". (it's more a blend between factory and trains games but it's there for me)

If devs keep up with the god work we can have a gem of a game.

It has a lot of similarities, but it also has many differences. So, not a rip-off ;-)

P.S. I have 2 hours in Transports and then gave up while in Voxel Tycoon I have over a 100 hours ;-)
