I tried; I really did
OMG the construction of tunnels and bridges (because we don't have flat overpasses) is infuriatingingly and needlessly complex it's bordering on the insane. Want to build a bridge and get spammed by millions of "can't build this here" messages because it puts the pilons in the middle of the road down below...I'm NOT building this bridge because it's pretty ffs; I want to pass that road but the construction UI does EVERYTHING in its power to make this as agrivating as possible... want to build a tunnel? Well tough luck buddy because I'm going to remove the terrain above the tunnel so your rails are now floating in midair and that can't happen...no option to respect the terrain or support the upper layer because that would be too easy...

So have fun with a game that wants you to not build crossings of 2 different logistics methods EVER.... OR be ready to spend 5 million trying to build a $25000 bridge because the construction UI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bricks making up for the other 24975000

Dev....seriously....you offer a logisticcs game without any way to simplify building actual logistics systems. The building UI is singlehandedly ruining the ENTIRETY of the game unless you avoid building any bridges and tunnels at all.

Work on this and maybe I'll start recommending this game again but for now I will literally rather play ANY other tycoon game instead.

Once you "get" that you have to build the bridges and tunnels in segments, it's way easier.


1) Select the bridge or tunnel tool, select the desired height.
2) Click on the ground a bit further than where you want your bridge/tunnel to start.
3) Move your mouse so that the ramp outline is visible.
4) Click to build the ramp
5) Then drag your mouse to build the other ramp

And if the pillars land in the way of something once the first ramp is built:
5) Change cursor height (in build menu or X/Z) to the height of bridge (usually 3)
6) Build the pillar where needed
7) Repeat 5 and 6 as needed
8) Put cursor height to 0 and build the other ramp

didn't matter in my case; I had to cover a space of 5 squares in an already elevated position and no matter how I tried to do it; it kept placing the pilon in the middle of the road...it was just a big case of "FU; I'm NOT going to do it"

Basically, building it in "steps" and starting from far away (to make sure the full 3-tall ramp can be made) helps A LOT.

Honestly the build systems are worse than OpenTTD and if you have any sort of lag, that's it, maps lost because you can't do a quick undo of the last placement and blown half your budget on something you can't use.

it's nuts you have to follow a 25 step-plan to build something even a game from the 1990's can just do in 1 single step. Building a bridge should not be a masterclass in engineering in a game about logistics....now if this was the case in space engineers, X:Albion prelude or any game with a super realistic physics system I could understand it takes a bit more finesse and fenageling.... but in a game like this it's both mindboggling to build a bridge/tunnel as well as mindboggling people need to look up expanded guides in order to get where they want to go....

this goes and in hand with the fact we have no same-level, road-to-rail crossings btw.

Btw; this is not just blindminded rage (if any dev is reading this)...I truly and honestly want to like and get to learn this game but the absence of such basic features should make you (the dev) considder to add the "puzzler" tag to this game.

I saw; can't wait for that update but please take your time...the hollidays are around the corner and the pressure on you guys is high enough. Everyone deserves some holliday cheer and rest/ companionship during these xmas-days...

Yes, I completely agree. I really want to love this game, but no level crossings just makes things tedious and fiddly. I know you guys are working on it, which is great. Can't wait to try again once those are in.

I tried to like this game as well, being a long time OpenTTD fan. I spent 2hrs waiting for something to happen then couldn't even get a refund (Steam: you played it for TWO HOURS, you obviously love it). Another 3.5hrs still got me nowhere. Lack of level crossing in a transport game is a deal breaker. Much regret.

Having a route fully setup and ready to go , with a train ready in the depot , just waiting for that factory to show up in THIS town .
I know it is random what the town wants . But seriously . I waited over 20 years (gametime) , and THIS town never wanted this one resource (that I build a route for in the start of the game .

I am out . Deleting . Not coming back .
