Decent game but seems a little too simple. I just saved up enough points to establish a dictatorship then took over the world(beat the big nucear powers) in less than an hour. Hopefully they add more countries and consequences to to your actions because as it is now you can pump all your economy into military(all of this is ofcourse done after establishing a dictatorship) wait a few turns and end up much stronger than every other country.

Sooo.. Now I finally played this wonderful game (I was hyped since the announcement). It is very similiar to Democracy 3. Actually there are so many negative reviews.. I understand why, but not every review is justified in my opinion, because this game isn't for the popular mass, it's genre is a niche. I play games like these a lot, even if there are just a few (Democracy 3, Political Simulator, ...).

I like how the game looks and feels. It feels very professional and it shows a bunch of statistics. The animations and graphs have very smooth animations and overall the game feels very great.

I have played for 2 hours already and I have to say it's pretty addicting (it has that "just one more turn" effect). Then you get pleased when you see that your GDP or any other statistic goes up, but at the same time the crime rate worsened too and so you smash these sliders for the police funding!

I have seen how the developer is always listening to reviews and improves the game with the help of the community. I like that a lot and if it continues this way, this game can be one of the most successful of this genre.

Obviously this game is not perfect, and I noticed some bugs:
- When I change the funding of public health expense, or police, or something else the economic growth drops instantly to -6% or so. I am not sure if that's really a bug, but it seems very suspect to me.
- The sliders often don't stay still and change every 2 or 3 quartals, or the rating changes from "good" to "ok" or "bad".

I will play this game often, as I love political and economic games. But there a still a few things missing in my opinion.. It may be very cool if the developer could add or improve these things:
- Terror attacks
- Enviromental catastrophes
- More realistic approval rate
- Industry sectors to decide wheter if it's public, privatized or if the state is a minority shareholder
- More military options (Build nukes as Germany for example, free a satellite state, Coup a state or try a coup, decide how to rule the occupied state)
- More laws (like weed legalization, gay marriage, etc)
- More options if the state is a dictatorship (build internment camps, censor media, arrest opposition leaders, do propaganda, set up a secret police)

This is a fun small game. Needs lots of things adding to it though. Adding more countries, laws and making elections more fun would be good.

A great game. However, really hard to balance out every part of the game and not enough countries currently.

Good and relevant to the real conditions of the economic world but definitely should be improved. Exports and Imports should be added. Moreover, controling the central bank can be good uptade for the simulation. Please, START TO UPDATE THE GAME

I think the only reason there are so many negative reviews is because the game gets repetitive and there isnt "everything" possible in the game yet, it is still in beta stage and I think it is such a fun game to play! LOVE IT

Played this game for a while, and I actually love it. Aside from all the negative comments and reviews (Mainly because people only play like 10 hours total gametime and then quit, which isn't really an effective review) This government simulator has so many kinds of outcomes and situation it keeps you busy. just play for a little while, learn the mechanics of the game, instead of writing an ignorant review

Government Simulator is by no means a perfect experience, it make sup for this though in its gameplay style and astonishingly in-depth micromanagement making it a great way to spend gaming time!

Has a lot of potential, but definitely needs more content and features.

More laws would be nice, as well as alternative forms of economics; syndicalism, statism, hands-off, keynesian, etc
Satellite states seem mostly useless - it would be nice to see something of a slider system for how they are handled. Maybe something like an informal puppet regime to a tributary to a federation all the way to full integration? Perhaps since the selection of countries is limited it would be possible perhaps to have the laws and flag change depending on the laws - though that might be asking for a bit too much.
