Infrastructure simulator?
Hi,
Played 3 games so far. After 4-5 quarters, the game turns into an infrastructure simulator. In these quarters, the infrastructure gets worse, then the more I pump into it, the more income I got. My problem is that after like 15 quarters, my expenditure is 100% on transport and everything is fine... like wtf?

What you can see on the picture is how much money I had to pump into the infrastructure to make it STAGNATE...

Also #1, I'd like to see what causes what. Currently I'm feeling I'm just moving sliders without knowing how it will affect anything else beyond its purpose. (like: does education affect crime rate? or unemployment? What about science? Does this affect unemployment?)
#2, I'd want to see statistics about my country: how many people are in education? how many's working? how many old people are in the population?->and how many young? how many people use cars? how many people use busses? etc. etc... <put 1000 questions in here>
#3, Military conflicts have no purpose at all. I'd like to see a moveable MAP where I can see what countries I have as satellites. I'm visual type. Also, why can't I annex a country? what about migration?
#4 the game lacks of laws. I also want to see how the laws affect the population, if they like it or not, if it affects my popularity or not, if something like banning alcohol decreases crime rates or not, etc. etc.

The game feels like it's in closed-alpha. It's far away from complete.

Hi,

strange, I think there might be some other reason for that, never had a player experience this before. Does your "pressing issues" dialog show some other underfunded departments? For example, transport isn't the only department responsible: Engery, Communication, Waste and Supply and even Finance play a role. Or do you maybe have a military conflict going out of hand? Maybe the enemy is currently destroying your infrastructure.

About what causes what: True, that would be a very nice to have. The problem is that everything is a bit interconnected, and the simulation even as circular feddback loops, just like in the real world, so it is difficult to show, but a few more info would probably be nice, yes.

Nice idea about the statistics with absolute numbers, could be an idea. About military: Yes, they are mostly there in order to be able to model the impact of conflicts.
