Germany help
Playing on hard as Germany (1936 start). Easily take Poland yet can't seem to complete Fall Gelb because France has around 200 divisions. I have a similar amount by May 1940.

Is this issue that I don't have enough divisions? Last attempt I didn't bother making any armour or MOT, just INF spam and yet still forced into a stalemate in the Ardennes

Any tips?

Do you mean 200 German or it's along with Axis minors? (they can really help, even if only by holding the anti-Maginot line)

200 German, I don't tend to have the Axis minors by May 1940

Well, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria can add a fine flock of divisions and not open a new front (like Italy would do).
Side question- did France had a war before WW2? Sometimes they lose so badly a territory to partisans, that some unexpected African rebel state emerges and skyrockets the IC of the Allies.

Haven't played for a couple of months, but from what i remember from hard Germany, most times it was USSR to give troubles. Don't lose hope, try new strategies and it'll be done (and also share here? :3 most of DH fans love a good AAR)

You have to wear them down by rotating units on and off the front line as I recall. Have you been doing that?

I've not, I've only really got a depth of experience with HOI2 Arma, rather than AOD or DH so that's not a tactic I'm aware of

What are your plans for when you defeat France? Attacking the USSR on hard would be a nightmare to say the least...

The 1936 start is hard because you can't really actually build the historical forces Germany had. 1933 is much better IMO as you can actually build up a fairly historically accurate force
