I've been playing this game for a very long time and usually like to play against others just because the AI is pretty predictable (I usually win a fair war without BS like massive air drops). As for me and my friend, we usually play on a team against AI since he's not as good. If you're pretty new, I'd be happy to offer what advice I can give, but it all depends on who you choose to play as. I'm working on getting a windows installation up (windows 10 has been a nightmare with my pc for some reason, forcing me to use Ubuntu) so once I do we should play. In the meantime, guys feel free to add me on steam and gameranger Lazydesmond.
Edit: I can beat the AI on hard, but ususally play normal because the hard AI is very unbalanced and cheats more than I do. Germany with 1000 or more IC is horrifying, especially as USSR.
It's wonderful we have AI, but I don't find any reward in it's friendship or occupation of my time. I want to connect with real people who want to play. That's how I want to meet people. Not by getting drunk in a bar.
I want the games to be a shared experience that others remember. I don't know how others feel, but the idea of being able to play with people with different perspectives and perhaps education from all over the planet, is f*cking awesome. Especially a game who's subject is about the story of our planet.
I like the idea of ranking people based, not only on game performance, but of reliability. Game integrity runs on reliability. So I also flag people for unreliability, perhaps hostile behavior. I don't want to kick them. So I just demote them. If you have 3 hours a week for mp, I want you to try out this game.
I've also had to kick players too hostile, or otherwise uncooperative to play mp with. You can't do that without creating some enemies. Ultimately we all get to choose the environment we want to play in. I invite you to try mine.
