I somebody want to taste VR in this game for now there is an Unreal Engine Injector that allows to run this game in VR... Ofcourse this is work in progress project: https://github.com/TheNewJavaman/unreal-vr

Unless it will be a very basic adaption with head-oriented central "cursor" doing most of the interactions, I would not set high expectations. Making a VR game that actually has to sell is going to meet very high expectations (everyone is going to compare it to Alyx because of course they will) and people underestimate how much work is it for a "proper" VR game.
I totally agree - a scenic adventure game like this would be magic in VR.
But I expect we're on our own to find a vr solution.
