How to fix blurry textures on graphics cards with less than 6GB memo

Editing ini file
Open %localappdata%\TheInvincible\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor folder (you can copy and paste this in Windows explorer).

(also try \AppData\Local\TheInvincible\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor)

Open Engine.ini and paste these lines at the end of the file

[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.Streaming.LimitPoolSizeToVRAM=0
r.Streaming.PoolSize=54321
r.Streaming.UseFixedPoolSize=1

Instead of 54321 in the third line of copied text paste your VRAM size minus ~1000. The end result should look like this (in this example I have 3050ti with 4 gigs of video memory, so 4000-1000=3000)

Don't forget to put a space before copied lines and save the file. It will have to be redone every update/patch of the game it seems.

If you still have bad textures try to increase r.Streaming.PoolSize value. But do not exceed the value of your VRAM size.
If the game crashes try to decrease r.Streaming.PoolSize value.

If you tried many values and nothing works, then this fix does not work for you. You can delete copied lines and save the file to reset all changes.

I have a non related question: Alan Wake 2 also suffers from blurry textures and the reason is probably the same as this one. Do you think those command lines would work on Alan Wake 2 as well?

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I tried to adapt to Alan Wake's 2 "renderer" ini file, but as soon as I open the game it overwrites the inputs I added, and erases them.

You have to right click the folder, go to "properties", and set it to "read only". Otherwise the game will overwrite it back to default on startup.

What the numbers mean: 1-LOW, 2-MEDIUM, 3-HIGH, 4-ULTRA

In [/script/engine.gameusersettings] I don't know how, but changing the settings worked:

 bUseDynamicResolution=True
bUseHDRDisplayOutput=True 

After that the game started to run with the settings specified here, even though I have 4GB of video memory.

IMPORTANT: if you use this method, don't change settings inside the game, everything will fail. Just in case, save the successful config. Enjoy the game!

После этого игра стала запускаться с указанными тут настройками, хотя у меня 4GB видеопамяти.

ВАЖНО! Если пользуетесь таким способом, не меняйте настройки внутри игры, всё слетит. На всякий случай сохраните удачный конфиг. Приятной игры!
