Demo is Beautiful

Nvidia 3080 10GB
12900K @ 5.2Ghz
32GB of ram
Almost 1440p (2235x1397 16:10)

I was getting about 130-160fps with v sync off. Demo uses a healthy 90-99% GPU and about 8GB of VRAM with only about 10-20% CPU and around 13GB of ram. There was the occasional heavy stutter in the beginning, but it eventually went away.

Devs, this is every atomic era lovers dream of a game. Sure, there are other games like Atomic Heart and Bioshock of the same era, but this game allows you to soak in the beauty and detail you have put into the models. I probably starred at the cargo ship at the end for a good 10-15 minutes while I walked endlessly around it. I was even amazed to see incandescent bulbs in the lights. I'm in complete awe. I played it on a 16:10 CRT which probably makes your game look even more fantastic, and I spent nearly 2 hours on the demo just starring at the quality of everything while exploring every corner.

Yes, people will find it slow. People will call it a walking simulator. I call it opportunity for imagination just like Lem's book. It looks like a fantastic explorer, and not every game needs to move at the speed of light with a million things shooting at you even though I do enjoy games like that as well. I tracked as much as I could behind the plants to imagine what could possibly be behind and underneath me in that massive network.

My only thoughts are:
1) The 16:9 black bars. They are annoying, and everyone prefers to use 100% of their screen. I hope the final doesn't have them.
2) I do hope for a minimum of about 20 hours gameplay time.
3) A photo mode would be fantastic

I'm not a collector, but the signature edition looks mighty tempting. Lets see how the reviews come out. I am glad I waited this long. =)

Flyby, did you play the game back in Steam's Next Fest? If so, is the optimization on the demo better?

Asking because that version had some serious optimization issues, had some terrible low frames.

This was my first run. Definitely no low frames with a 3080!

The Invincible gameplay will take about 10 hours :) And yes, the photomode will be available to use right at the release!

Full game optimisation is much better than the demo. It even runs above 40fps on Steam deck.
