Bug in XP : F1 doesn't work.Impossible show grid.

I recently purchased the Steam version of the game with 2 DLC . I jumped right into the campaign. So the narrator tells me to use the F1 (show grid) key to show the grid. I press the button... and nothing happens! But the narrator goes on as if I just fulfilled the tutorial objective.

I tried changing the keybinding, restarting the game, etc., nothing.I cleaned the cache , reinstalled the game and write to Paradox at the end.No solution until now.

My sIstem is WINDOWS XP SP3 , i5 with 4 giga ram , ATI 5550 and I haven'y any problem with about a hundred game steam yet installed.

Any ideas what could be wrong here?
