how to solve can't use any controller in some KOEI game?

I using xbox elite 2 controller. I have updated the controller, windows, and the game. I have tried pressing shift+tab in the game and setting on/off steam input in the controller. But there is still no response in game.

I tried to ps5, switch pro, and xbox wired controller, and encountered the same problem.

But there is no problem with other games. I once tried to synchronize two games, and the other one kept using, but the koei game also did not respond.

I once successfully used the controller in the 8 empires game. But then it failed to work when I entered the game again. I was very disappointed.

Is there any solution? thank you~

I am using the same controller. It worked for me when I started the game from Big Picture mode. I have Steam Input enabled.

Try to right click on game in library then go to properties then controller and change the Default settings to enable Steam input. That should force it to use your controller.

Sadly, neither work. I'm using 360 wired controller. works for all other games. Just nothing with DW9 or Empires
