So sad
The patches are so toxic and useless in many ways
I don't have DW9 (and I'm not sure if I'd ever get it, even if I had a good system. Current issues aside, $60 seems a little bit pricy for a standard Warriors title), but...well, I wouldn't say Sara is being a blind fan. He just tried to offer a solution that just happened to not work with Xin's specs. DW9's optimization issues aside, it's not at all uncommon for different systems to react differently to a single program, regardless of how well or poorly that program is optimized for PCs in general.
Take Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, for example. My 7-year-old laptop (yes. 7 years old and STILL hasn't died on me (fingers crossed)) can barely run it and so everything loads/moves slower (still playable, though), but for the most part everything loads in properly, with maybe one or two issues. My brother's newer laptop, on the other hand, can run 8 Empires MUCH better than mine, but is plagued with annoying graphical bugs that result in semi-invisible/swapped weapons (unless affected by ATK buff, but even then it has to be the only weapon), objects where they shouldn't be in certain cutscenes (edit: and various sections of certain battlefields. If it weren't for the fact that I memorized the map layouts on my laptop, I'd have more issues on his playing co-op), some regular officer's eyes being in the wrong place, and a few other similar issues. I've suspected that it's an issue with his graphics card settings (or possibly his graphics card entirely), but have never been quite sure of where to start with addressing the issue (doesn't quite help that searching around often came up with dead ends).
Not siding with either group here, but again, not every system can run a program the same way even if they're both high quality and current year, and all it takes is one patch or changed file for some systems to start having issues. It all depends on the user's hardware/specs and how well they accept the software and files they're tasked with managing.
I have a PS4 Pro with SSD and I have an i7-8700k, 1080ti and 32GB of 3200RAM with an SSD:
I own DW9 for both platforms. This FRICKING game is absolutely deplorable on loading textures, over the patches this issue has been amplified more so than ever, I own hundreds of games across both platforms and have never experienced a single issue with loading of textures, let's see: God of War 4, Far Cry 5, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, ME SOM, Horizon ZD, all play EASILY maxed 4K HDR, they absolutely blow the grap out of DW9 visually, ZERO textures issues, for the games I have on PC from this list, I can play over 100FPS every setting maxed. The crap engine KT put together for DW9 is absolutely deplorable, in every aspect, outright failure. The game doesn't support highres 4K textures, doesn't have HDR, extremely limited visuals throughout, very poor and yet it can't load textures properly, I've noticed a massive drop in image quality since the day the game first came out. They keep reducing quality trying to address the issue. Just recently bought the Nintendo Switch and picked up Fire Emblem Warriors, OMG!!!!!!!!!!, compared to DW9 it's on a completely different level, flawless, smooth, beautiful.
Their way of addressing this is to keep lowering the visual fidelity of everything, which already looked exceptionally poor to begin with. Sara, you are a nice person, though I don't care to hear your perspective on this any longer, I'm near 50 and have been a gamer since the first days of gaming, this engine is absolutely the poorest performing I can recall in all of my years. The texture loading issue is just laughable at this point, PS4 Pro which only supports a fake 4K checkerboad approach, no HDR and I have the fastest compatible SSD you can get and textures are only loaded about half the time, you can be in area for 5-10 seconds or LONGER (or they don't load at all, which happens a lot), AND THEY ARE extremely low quality, just a failure on every front!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ON top of that, since patch 1.03, get crashes every five minutes, currently unplayable. All my other games run just fine.
