Lu lingqi got her old weapon back. So they declone
Caw outfit is free, but if u want legendary heroes armour like zhaoyun u must buy just like dw 8 empires. They have dlc outfit. Just for extra cosmetic.
The gameplay more like dw 8 empires than dw 9, Because startagems is back

no that's not declone they just give her the cross pike as her default weapon, watch the TGS video sun jian still using his old musou, same as LLQ she will still be using sword & shield special attack and musou. DLC isn't just not outfits this time they even sell soldier types in DLC.

older empires titles let us choose whatever outfit we want for free now it's locked behind DLC, that's stupid i'm not gonna support this game anymore.

my guess is no declone in the base game, declone weapons will still be DLC but hopefully if you already own it in DW9 you don't have to re-buy it. Also i hope they fix the musou, if lu lingqi use crosspike dlc then the musou should be crosspike too instead of revert back to shield.

EDIT: it seems it revert back during musou according to poster above lol, sad!!!

like wangyi on dw 8 empire, she have 2 type special weapon, the trishula and emei piercers right of the bat

those so called "declone" weapons didn't really declone anyone, characters equipped with such weapons still use their cloned special trigger attack and their original cloned musou.

Unlike Extreme Legends, the Empire games have always been separate from the main games.

Dude, giving Characters their original weapons back instead of using a clone weapon is "decloning".

Also, Clothes are not locked behind paywalls. You unlock them by playing the game and finishing various events. Just like DW6 Empires and DW7 Empires.

The only pay-to-gain outfits are special outfits like DW8 Empires Kitsune Outfit.

Soldier Types will probs be unlocked like usual, by going a certain route with your main (being good or evil)

And if you are so bored with the combat system, then why are you even playing KoeiTecmo Hack & Slash, because the fighting style is basically present in EVERY KoeiTecmo Hack & Slash. Not just the Dynasty Warriors series.

you clearly didn't even read my post, giving old weapon back isn't decloning since they still use their cloned special trigger and musou, eg : give both Guan yingpin and LLQ a cross pike and they'll do the same, no differences aside from their cloned special trigger and musou. That's not declone, you want to know what declone looks like ? cao pi DW6>DW6E, meng hou DW6>DW6E etc. that's how a declone should be.

there are unlockable outfits but there are locked behind DLC too.
soldier types unlocked during gameplay but SPECIAL types locked behind DLC thus impossible to obtain without buying them.

now this is a stupid statement, KT HnS games are not the same, DW9 combat is garbage but i enjoyed SW5 because the combat is less boring than DW9 and completely different, did you just group all KT HnS games together and think they are all the same???

Might want to look into Empires, DW8 Empires still terrific game worth buying even (possibly though hopefully not, better then the upcoming one).

They a fair bit different. (same combat overall but more outside of it).

i dont care about clone weapon in empires series, because i will play my chacacther creation and use whatever weapon i like lol.
