Animals I found to tame

I also now have confirmed elephants

a. to get them go to the first lightning bear cursed stone and 200 units to the east of it spam your traps and baits

b. spam traps inside Jianning or Meng Huo and Zhurong's town (you will also most likely get pigs here but what ever)

c. just in the forested areas of Nanzhong

for Pandas just look for any bamboo grove (South west of Chengdu near the Watch tower there for example)
and once again spam traps

About 180 pets so far 3 elephant no panda but its all good, i get one or a few eventually.

good for you I couldnt get more elephants so my first one was just pure luck

I noticed you dont need to pick up the crates. From time to time, they will become advaible at the stables, of what you got.

I seem to be having trouble capturing animals i wait from a distance near the box traps and no wolf goes to it and tranquilizer doesnt capture them either any tips?

you need to goo do missions or quest, Takes 60 - 120 minutes

No Problem, you really don't even need to recheck traps. Sure at some point they turn yellow on map, meaning they can be checked. But if you don't check them in a certain time the stable master gets your loot and you can check the stable master himself.

Nope, they don't lvl or ever die. They slow enemies down though.

the only way to "level" deer's skill is by stacking more deers same goes to the panda
