The real fix for Xbox controllers

The fix for xbox controllers is simple. Go to Steam Settings-Ingame and turn off "use big picture overlay when using a Steam Controller" Problem solved.

My XBox 360 controller worked just fine after I did the following... Game is already on. > Plug in controller > Turn off game > Turn game back on > Controller is now recognized.

It's that simple.

i guess i spoke too soon. still seems to be an issue... it allows you to press A and use the joystick to get through to the story and opening the tutorial but then it does nothing but let you rotate the camera and if you let go of the stick the camera just keeps spinning.

After that I have to unplug the controller and plug it back in to get it to stop with the weird crap.

devs need to fix this major issue.

Open big picture mode with the game on, and you should be able to select your controller through that. then just disable BPM.

yeah i found and tried that fix as well. There shouldn't be a need to disable settings in steam to get the controller to work. It clearly states in the store page that it has "Full Controller Support". That's not just wrong it's false avertisement lol.

That's why we posted this... Bpm is big picture mode. You can Google how to turn it off.

And controller support is trash in this game so just give up.

Glad I can help you not waste your time. Hopefully the developer gets their head out of their ass and fixes it... but given the ♥♥♥♥ show job they have done with every game the original it's unlikely.
