As for sucky missions, any that are on a boat. Most of the time the enemies get knocked off boat. They usually respawn back on boat, but sometimes they just float in the water instead. Or you fall off the boat and got get back on.
Prevent the Qiang Troops' Betrayal - I don't know what I was supposed to do here. The guy tells me to go pick up some special items in town, but the quest marker just pointed at an empty area in the town. I checked the shops and smashed everything in sight, but I still can't figure it out.
Any escort mission where you have to trek 1000 meters while only encountering maybe 2-3 bandits along the way.
agree that Forming Reinforcements is annoying. made a thread back then, and we've already figured out the combination. go look for it if you're still stuck at it.
in general some of the text-based quests can get preety annoying, but some of them can get preety amusing
I ended up having to unload the who area and rush to the main boss on Beginner, so I wouldn't have to do that mission again.
But as for working as intended top 3:
3. The mission where you have to stop Wang Yi from approaching Ma Chao. And she just keeps running and healing herself so you have to keep knocking her backwards foreeeever on chaos until you finally got her worn out.
2. Diao Chan's first mission, because you have to keep Cao Cao from retreating and lose the mission if you don't skip most of the enemy and kill him (while being underleveled and with standart weapon while he is boosted). And when you are finally done... he escapes anyway thanks to the plot.
1. The mission where a guy wants to cross a garrison and you have to stealth kill 4 guards on the gate towers without them noticing you. The mission resets everytime you get spotted. But after you are through the mission Guan Yiping is waiting for you anyway and suddenly it doesn't matter anymore that she spots the two of you and attacks. Game logic at its best.
Dude I just got to the Qiang* Troops' Betrayal mission and I'm stumped too. Marker puts me in the middle of a field in Hanzhong.
Edit: I figured it out, you have to go and break all the boxes marked with the yellow icon on the map around where the marker puts you. The items you need to present to the Qiang leader are inside of them.
Thanks, good to know for the next time around. Altough, I was sure that I didn't see any other markers at the time. Possible bug since I lazily teleported into the town? More likely that I'm just dumb and blind.
I thought it was bugged at first too, it gave me a marker in the corner of the town near the merchants but about 50m away from them next to an empty cart. There are some loot crates around it in about a 100m radius. I teleported as well, just wasn't seeing them at first.
Yeah I haven't done it since the patch. Doors were nearly invincible before, haven't checked since they balanced it.
