Sucky Missions
In your opinion, which is the worst mission?

For me it's Assisting Wang Guan, because the bows and arrows don't work and your get stuck dying forever if your last checkpoint is when you already started the mission.

I'm not familiar with the Assisting Wang Guan mission. How do bow and arrows not work?

As for sucky missions, any that are on a boat. Most of the time the enemies get knocked off boat. They usually respawn back on boat, but sometimes they just float in the water instead. Or you fall off the boat and got get back on.

Forming Reinforcements - A mission where you assign NPC officers to fill certain roles based on their vague stats. Get one in the wrong spot and the questgiver tells you "Nah, I don't think so, start over". Making me have to think and use comprehension skills in a Warriors game? Sucky, I say.

Prevent the Qiang Troops' Betrayal - I don't know what I was supposed to do here. The guy tells me to go pick up some special items in town, but the quest marker just pointed at an empty area in the town. I checked the shops and smashed everything in sight, but I still can't figure it out.

Any escort mission where you have to trek 1000 meters while only encountering maybe 2-3 bandits along the way.

agree that Forming Reinforcements is annoying. made a thread back then, and we've already figured out the combination. go look for it if you're still stuck at it.

in general some of the text-based quests can get preety annoying, but some of them can get preety amusing

It's annoying quest where there's 4 guys you have to kill, but they're up in towers and if you don't kill them in one shot while their back is turned, they're all "You traitor!" Even when you already killed them. Plus there's no way to get a good shot from a bow and arrow, due to the stairs and other things in the way.

I ended up having to unload the who area and rush to the main boss on Beginner, so I wouldn't have to do that mission again.

I really hate the mission in Chapter 2 for any of the coalition factions to assist Cao Cao in the capitol after his failed assassination attempt on Dong Zhuo. It forces you to use the grappling hook which is dislike, and also breaks the lore pretty hard in general.

I wanted to play through Sun Jian's missions today. At the second one, after the yellow turban Zhou Cang (can't spell his name sry) I felt like teleporting to the city all the way in the southern desert area to craft his best weapon (I needed a coin scroll vendor for it). After I teleported some dialogue for the actual mission triggered and well... teleporting became blocked after that. So I had to ride all the way manually. From the middle of the south of the map to very far north east. THAT SUCKED THE MOST! :P

But as for working as intended top 3:

3. The mission where you have to stop Wang Yi from approaching Ma Chao. And she just keeps running and healing herself so you have to keep knocking her backwards foreeeever on chaos until you finally got her worn out.

2. Diao Chan's first mission, because you have to keep Cao Cao from retreating and lose the mission if you don't skip most of the enemy and kill him (while being underleveled and with standart weapon while he is boosted). And when you are finally done... he escapes anyway thanks to the plot.

1. The mission where a guy wants to cross a garrison and you have to stealth kill 4 guards on the gate towers without them noticing you. The mission resets everytime you get spotted. But after you are through the mission Guan Yiping is waiting for you anyway and suddenly it doesn't matter anymore that she spots the two of you and attacks. Game logic at its best.

Dude I just got to the Qiang* Troops' Betrayal mission and I'm stumped too. Marker puts me in the middle of a field in Hanzhong.

Edit: I figured it out, you have to go and break all the boxes marked with the yellow icon on the map around where the marker puts you. The items you need to present to the Qiang leader are inside of them.

Thanks, good to know for the next time around. Altough, I was sure that I didn't see any other markers at the time. Possible bug since I lazily teleported into the town? More likely that I'm just dumb and blind.

I thought it was bugged at first too, it gave me a marker in the corner of the town near the merchants but about 50m away from them next to an empty cart. There are some loot crates around it in about a 100m radius. I teleported as well, just wasn't seeing them at first.

I think you can do it without grappling hook. Theres a backdoor to Louyang castle and you can break down gates by wailing on it.

Urg this mission... whenever I used the grappling hook Dian Wei died and I couldn't break down the door, because it was before the patch and I didn't know they were breakable.

Yeah I haven't done it since the patch. Doors were nearly invincible before, haven't checked since they balanced it.
