Best waifu/husbando in DW9?

Mine's is Zhenji. Although, Dong Bai is my favorite of the new characters.

Best Husbando: Lu Meng, is only because I love his design and voice. @.@ Yes please. <3

Worst Husbando: Zhang Fei. I'm honestly kinda annoyed they added his 'wife' given how controversial she is for modern audiences. For those unaware most accounts all agree he kidnapped his wife, Xiahou Ji and depending upon who propogated the story also raped her and forced her to bear his children. Now we can all take it for a grain of salt since unlike the other two kingdoms Shu didn't have nearly as good of a time chronociling the day to day life of it's people. With it also being the kindgom that has been used the /most/ for propaganda ever since RoTK was published, both for good and ill. Yet given the controversy I think he merits mention given that Dynasty Warriors itself is based off the Novel rather than the historical record and interpretation of it. (He's my favorite character in Ravages however, which tends to give RoTK the middle finger, so there's that. But then again he isn't a bumbling oaf in that story so much as someone who plays one to help make Liu Bei look better by comparson.)

Best Waifu: Zhang Chunhua. So scary that in the Empires run I did as a CAW trying to marry Sima Shi, she legit was the first person he ever executed. It made me die of laughter and just reinforced the persona that she's given in the games for me. I'm looking forward to playing her after doing my Cao Cao run.

Worst: Xiao Qiao. That. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Voice. Her voice has /always/ been annoying, which made having her as my main back during DW3-4 even worse... I can't say the annoyance level has improved since then.

She is a really good character! I was surprised about how effective the whipsword is. Was very worried because I mean you can't get any cooler than killing your enemies with a bunch of sharp strings shooting all over the place, but the replacement is really alright.

Best waifu is always Lianshi.

I mean sure, I play as Wang Yuanji most of all, and I've got a special sort of fondness for Guan Yinping... BUT Lianshi is the undisputed queen of T&A, and has a goddess-grade personality to boot. I just don't particularly care for her weapon style so I don't use her as much.
So far as character traits though... pick anything, then pick a character. Lianshi is better. End of story.



As for the husbando angle... well, my custom character in DW8 Empires married Gan Ning and it worked out pretty well for her. I prefer to play Lu Xun, but again... Gan Ning is just a cooler guy.

Japanese voice, his English voice is fairly good but I love his Japanese one.

Yeah his Japanese voice is really good. Completely agree. He also looks considerably better these days, like in the early DW titles he had a ponytail and eyerings. Made him look sickly.
