Informal Clothes in Battle?
According to the latest update, this was made possible. However it doesn't work for me.
Has anyone figured out how to do it?

it works do you know how?

go to a hide out and invite them they will give you a mini quest
else find them in the map and talk to them

this can be done in any mode provided you have saved

I had a glitch where I invited someone over and they never arrived.

Thats not really a glitch. Sometimes you need to invite, advance time and move to a second hideaway.
What's the best way to get informal clothes? When I try and invite someone, they won't go away ever and that means I can't invite anyone else. Also, when I try and swap characters so that the game stops having the same person come over, the invite list resets back to default. Plus if I get a mission from a person, go away and then finish it, they still won't give me the informal clothes!

How am I meant to get all 90+ informal clothes if it's such a pain to get like 2?

You need to advance time. Move hoyses two or three times. Kinda yave to remember you send a request but a request is not 100%.

But you can find the toons in cities as you play the game. Thats 100% they will give you the quest.

OK, so why can't they be guaranteed to show up in a specific city for a specific faction during a specific Chapter? Instead it's all RNG and you may never find the person you need if they're only around for 1 Chapter. Plus you should be able to unlock the costumes by leveling up too, in case you really can't find someone in the overworld.

Not to mention even if you DO find them in the 1 chapter they're playable in, they could have a hard request, like find a random book and then you have to guess the location of the book based on where Bandits are. There really should be a guide for this!

Yea, one day someone could make a list of all officers, the request and whete to find item.

Cao pi and zenji are my hard ones atm.

Again i like the concept as it gets youninto the world, and it be nice if they do this again with unique weapon skins from dw8 and such, later.

Though i dont want this for all old costumes those should unlock standard

Or just have them unlocked right away without this annoyance.

But see, I disagree with that. Up til now most people complain, big open world, nothing to fetch, or gather. Now you got a reason to roam the land, find items, and feel a sense of ackomplishment. Eventually, there will be a guide and it be easier. But no ones made one yet.

Except you gather materials for buffs and weapons anyway. This is just badly done because some people wouldn't stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how desolate the world is. I only have 5 Informal clothes and getting them just sucks! You're expected to get random difficult items even if you're only level 1 and the quests have no difficulty scaling, meaning you could go from "find *blank* Book" to "Beat me up". Right at the start of a Chapter.

I also hate how most characters don't have alt costumes through DLC, so to get ANY alt costumes for most characters, you need to do the mundane tasks to unlock a costume that should have been unlocked from the start!

This is just badly done, as you're never guaranteed to get any of the costumes, as only random characters spawn in random locations on the map at any given time that they're alive. What's worse is finding them is the easy part and then you have to go out of your way to find a random Book/something else you have no idea where it spawns and if you don't have that Book/Item BEFORE you meet up with them, you have to invite them to your hideout and they never leave, meaning you have max 1 chance if the character you're playing as is only alive for 1 Chapter!

There's a challenge and then there's mundanity for the sake of it. I personally love having alternate clothes, so this affects me really badly and it also cuts down on the enjoyment I have for the game.

Why would you be lvl 1 like you say and unlocking these? And no many of the items drop off of bandits, books and such. Others drop off of beast, Quality tiger fangs and such. No lvl one will collect those anyway. There are a few hard ones, most are super easy, duel, gold, basic item like wine, or food.

A few are sold by trader at one location or drop off a bandit but must find right one. Only a few though. A lvl 1 player couldnt even get a hideaway as its 30k So I call BS on a lvl 1 player even taking these quest.

Getting money is easy when you have a bunch of sellable items via DLC bonuses. Plus why wouldn't I want to get alt costumes as quickly as possible? I don't like to play as the default costumes and because only like 1/3 of characters get DLC costumes, it means I have to grind right away to get the rest.

To be fair most those added costimes have been over 3 dlcs and are paid for. If you can sell items then you can farm them. Again out of 94 officers maybe 25 require books or hardsto get items. Rest are duels, gold, or items you can buy in town. So your complaining you have to kill bandits or free a bandit city to buy an item from a trader?

Yes, but again, finding the Officers is also an issue and when you invite them they never leave.
