Report a translation problem
It’s absurd this is still an issue - you have to right click the game in your steam library, click ‘properties’, then go to betas and select the crossplay one and for some reason that works. Enjoy!
UPDATE: We'll now I can use the keyboard but not my Xbox gamepad. Hope this gets fixed soon!
We're sorry to hear you're having this issue with the controls.
Unfortunately, the latest macOS update has caused significant issues with certain apps, impacting Overcooked! 2. Our team is actively investigating, yet we're uncertain if the problem stems from Apple or our end.
Regrettably, we cannot provide an ETA for a fix but kindly persist in trying over the next few weeks.
As a workaround, can you please change to the Steam cross-play branch? You can go back to the normal branch once the issue has been resolved.
To do this:
- Launch your Steam client
- Right-click on Overcooked! 2 in your Library
- Select Properties
- Select the Beta tab from the left-hand panel
- Next to Beta Participation, there will be a drop-down menu > select the Crossplay branch from here
- Allow this to install on your Mac
- Launch the game
Any friends you wish to play the game with also will need to download this branch of the game to be able to play together.Please note: If you choose to play with a controller you may come across an issue with this not working, this is something that is also being investigated.
If you do come across this issue, can you please confirm for us whether you're using a controller or not, and which controller if you're using one?
