Hello, me and 2 friends facing similar issue when creating new session for online play. All 3 of us tried hosting using the invite button on team17 but got stuck at "creating a session". All 3 of us are using steam account only. no cross-play involved.
We're really sorry to hear that you're running into connection issues with your friends. We totally understand how frustrating that can be!
To help you out, could you take a moment to check out the steps in this article [team17.helpshift.com]? Also, it might be a good idea to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) about opening your NAT—this could make a difference for you and your friends!
If you’re still having trouble after trying those steps, we’d love to gather a bit more info from you. When you have a chance, could you let us know:
- What country you’re in?
- Your Steam Download Region (you can find that in Steam Settings under Downloads)
- Your internet speed (you can check it with this Internet Speed Test[www.speedtest.net])
- Whether you’re using a VPN?
- What your NAT setting is?
We look forward to hearing back from you soon!Regards,
Team17 Support
