We're sorry to hear you're having this issue with your PS5 controller.
Unfortunately, there is a current issue with controllers on this title on MAC, the team is currently investigating and we've passed on your report.
In the meantime, you can see if the following steps help at all:
Firstly, please unplug your controller. Then attempt the following:
- Launch the Steam client
- Click Steam in the top-left of the client > Settings > Controller and make sure the 'Enable Steam input for "Playstation/Xbox/Switch Pro/Generic" options etc are all toggled on as needed.
- Then simply plug your controller back in and retest the game
Please make sure your Input Controller Settings are set correctly also, these steps are the same but in two different areas - we like to check that both are enabled to be sure:- Launch the Steam client and select View in the top-left of the client and select Big Picture Mode
- Go to Settings in the top-right of Big Picture Mode > select the Controller tab on the left-hand panel and make sure the 'Enable Steam input for "Playstation/Xbox/Switch Pro/Generic" options etc are all toggled on as needed.

Going through the comments on this thread, it doesn't seem like the game developer is interested adding native support for PS5 controllers on mac as it's been going on for years and the steam admin keeps on replying saying the same thing.
If you're wondering if you can connect multiple PS5 Controllers to the game using the mapper, I'm yet to try if that could work. I'll reply here in case whether it was a success or no. Currently, I only have one PS5 controller.

Hey, not sure if it's an update or not but you are able to map your controller to the keyboard via steam settings without a 3rd party app. Just go into the controller settings for the game and map the buttons the same way I assume you did with your app. These settings are both individualized to the game and controller.
