You have to invite them using their full T17 nickname (including the # and number at the end). You can find out their T17 handle by having them open the invite menu.
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
To use the cross-platform feature on Steam, you need to use the Cross-platform beta branch.
The T17 friend's list will not show on the normal version of the game.
- Please right-click the game in your library
- Go to properties
- Go to the 'betas' tab
- Using the drop-down, choose the cross-play branch.
- Allow this to download.
Load the game and invite/accept an invite from Epic players. We hope this helps!

Sorry to hear you're having this issue.
Are you playing on Windows or Mac?
Are you using the crossplay branch?
What platform are your friends on?
Is this when you accept a friend request? Are you able to send them, and what happens if they accept?
Are you able to play versus modes online?
Get back to us when you can.

Team17 Support
Answering the questions, I am playing on Mac and I downloaded the crossplay branch. My friend is on PlayStation 5, but the loading screen appears before I get to send any request or link. I'm not able to send any friend request nor am I able to play versus online public (the same loading screen from before shows up, the one that says “Checking Pandamos online privileges…”).
What should I do?
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, Overcooked! 2 does not have cross-platform features between PC/MAC and PS5. Overcooked! All You Can Eat has full cross-platform features, if you both own this game you can then play together between Steam and PS5.

Thanks for your reply!
Unfortunately, this is a current issue between MAC Steam and Epic.
The team is currently investigating this and we hope for a fix as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you should be able to play with other Steam players on MAC or Windows.
You may also try using something such as BootCamp as an example to use Windows on your MAC.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and support!
Regards,
Team17 Support
