OVERCOOKED 2: Dual Shock 4 control not working on Mac

I recently bought the game and booted it up and connected my ds4 control through USB into my mac and when i got to the home page of the game i pressed X on my control yet nothing happened. so i pressed space bar to pass on to the menu of the game to yet also find that even when trying to scroll through the menu the control did not work. If any one knows how to fix this please help me out, Thanks!!!!!

Are you asking about Switch and PS4 controllers?

Controllers are all supported however there are some issues with some on MAC (Not Windows).
This is being looked into currently.

I can't get a Luna Controller or Xbox 1 controller to even pull up in game, I am currently running this on a Mac Mini M1 2021. I can use both controllers in Big Picture and have them mapped on Steam, but when I start OC2 they do not appear in the settings options as an option to use. So I'm stuck using a keyboard for CoOp, which gets tiresome extremely quickly. Is there any update or workout as to how I can get these controllers to work on this game?

As someone already mentioned before me, the game works with the PS4 Dualshock 4 v2 Controller when connected via USB cable (even with 2 controllers), unfortunately it does not work via Bluetooth or Dualshock 4 USB Adapter. Is there any fix yet? (I have tried to delete com.apple.Bluetooth.plist (did not help)).

The PlayStation DualShock4 V1 controller (without the light on top) works correctly when wired, but also requires the removal of the 'com.apple.Bluetooth.plist' for it to connect via Bluetooth.

Setting up the controller:
Apple> System Preferences> Bluetooth > Put controller into search (Hold PlayStation button and Share button) > Connect

Removing the Bluetooth driver:
1. Turn Bluetooth off from Preferences
2. From your HDD, navigate to Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
3. Drag that file to the trash & empty the trash
4. Restart your machine

Only one controller can be used

Workaround successed with my V2 PS4 controller!
but my 2nd V2 controller can't working at sametime.
Both controllers are connected via Bluetooth and can be used in Big Picture mode, but only one able to use in the game.
Show this[ws2.sinaimg.cn] and freeze screen if i plug wired with second controller.
Could you please currently investigating the issue, thanks!

Do you still remember how did you connect 2 ps4 controllers to the game? I connected my 2 ps5 controllers and use the enjoyble for Mac for mapping, but both of the controllers can only control the same chef in the game.

I disabled "Playstation Configuration Support", then deleted my paired controllers from the Bluetooth settings and paired them again. I may have restarted my Mac/Steam too in between these actions, can't remember for sure since I was kinda mad trying to make them work. :P

But both V1 and V2 controllers work now. I finished the game in multiplayer mode with no further problems, except that the led colors don't change anymore.

Same stuff with 8bitDo Pro 2 controller. Can be mapped to keyboard, but stick feels subpar this way. Sad, that this is the only issue with the game on Mac.

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue as well.

As mentioned above, this is currently being investigated.

You can try some steps to see if they fix this for you by changing some of the Steam settings.

Firstly, please unplug your controller. Then attempt the following:

1. Launch the Steam client
   
2. Click Steam in the top-left of the client > Settings > Controller and make sure the  'Enable Steam input for "Playstation/Xbox/Switch Pro/Generic" options etc are all toggled on as needed.
   
3. Then simply plug your controller back in and retest the game

Please make sure your Input Controller Settings are set correctly also, these steps are the same but in two different areas - we like to check that both are enabled to be sure:

1. Launch the Steam client and select View in the top-left of the client and select Big Picture Mode
   
2. Go to Settings in the top-right of Big Picture Mode > select the Controller tab on the left-hand panel and make sure the  'Enable Steam input for "Playstation/Xbox/Switch Pro/Generic" options etc are all toggled on as needed.

Honestly didn't think I would get an answer, thank you very much for getting back so quickly!

I can see now that in May you were aware of the issue and that some patch was pushed but then rolled back

Any way to get my hands on this specific branch or have you completely removed it?

I'm not trying to play online, just coop on my computer
