Xbox One controller not working on MacOS 10.15.1 Catalina
With the new MacOS Catalina the wireless Xbox One controller can be hooked up to the Mac easily via Bluetooth.

The controller is paired and it's working fine in Big Picture mode and in other games, but not in Overcooked 2.

Please do something about it, as it has been reported a million times in the past.

I am also having this issue with all of my controllers not working on Catalina. Working fine in Steam Big Picture and Desktop but can't assign it in game... Help us out here!!

Hello,

We are sorry to hear that you're having issues with your controller not being detected in the game.

Can you please make sure that you're controllers are checked in the Steam settings.

  1. Unplug the controller
  2. Launch the Steam client and click the controller icon at the top right to enter Big Picture Mode
  3. Go to Settings > Controller Settings and make sure that "Playstation/Xbox/Generic Configuration Support" are all toggled on.
  4. Then simply plug your controller and retest the game

If the controller support is toggled on then please get back to us and let us know what is your controller manufacturer.

Also please try to connect your controller via a cable if you can and see if that workes for you.

Hi,

Yes, Controller Settings has been checked, just like as in the million other questions... It is not working by checking it, and not working by using a cable, as it was not working for anyone.

Please do something meaningful about it besides posting the same useless comments over and over again.

It is still not working with any of the new game updates. It is ridiculous that you guys are completely ignoring this issue for over more than a year now.
